<DIV>I see that baby dragons are being made no trade... So, what will happen with those people who have more than 1 baby dragon becuase they baught a dragon from another player?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Specifically, my wife has two different versions of baby dragon. One is purple and gold, the other is teal and green I believe. Will one dragon go poof? or just both be tagged as no trade now, but still belong to the current owner?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for any imput.</DIV>

<P>From the recent dev chat on Stratics:</P> <P><STRONG><FONT color=#800000>Gallenite -</FONT></STRONG> This is one of those cases that proves that not everything that makes it to test makes it to live. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> That change has been reverted on test already. Baby dragon pets will not be NOTRADE in the live update. (more) <BR></P> <P>So, no worries!</P>

Personally, they started off no trade, they should have STAYED no trade. No one said the person in charge of that was awake and using their head that day.

Collector's edition bonus: free platinum. It would have been nice if the dragons had remained as what they were intended, a nifty bonus for getting the collector's edition but with no actual IC benefit. But people found a way to trade them even before they removed the no-trade flag, and by now pretty much all the economic upset caused by having them be tradeable has already happened, so I don't think there's any good reason to annoy dragon collectors by making them no-trade again. <div></div>

<div></div>Care to explain how, exactly, have Dragons affected the economy? Considering they are a house item that DO NOT give any benefit other than status reduction for those who own homes that require status points to mantain. I fail to see what's the issue, other than people not being able to afford the 5+ plat they go for. -Alysthra Permafrost <div></div><p>Message Edited by Alysthra on <span class=date_text>03-18-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:40 PM</span>

<DIV>um alysthra its rather easy. i could go buy a collector's edition of the game and sell my new dragon for a plat or more.(or you could spend money and get a plat off Ebay......). not everyone starts with a baby dragon there for its unfair to the rest of us. Why would you bother buying the game when you can get the collector's edition and be rich?</DIV>

Unfortunately only the people that have made plat will be buying the dragons from the people that don't have plat and are getting rid of thier dragons. Its not like you went out and bought the collectors edition and instantly got platinum. Its statements like "Not everyone one has X so its unfair to the rest of us." that cause nerfs and ruin the game play. I honestly doubt that people are rushing to going out and buying the collector's edition, registering the game just so they can make a plat or two and then cancelling the account. I'm also pretty sure that not everyone paid for the Bloodline Chronicles addon. Do you want SOE to make all the loot and drops from there NO Drop as well becase the people that paid for it can make extra money? Lol If you honestly thing that is how people are making all thier plat I suggest you rush out and buy the collectors edition of the game and sell your dragons while you can. Until then I don't honestly see it a big deal making it no trade or keeping it tradeable. Those that want to throw money away on furniture and dragons and such will, those that can't won't.</DIV>

<P>Worst thing i have ever seen to come from patches, about as much for me to quit, as being a dragon collector was my entire idea. Now its ruined and i dont see anything else cool to collect.</P> <P> </P> <P>Leave the dragons be, there already spreading around, and they don't need to keep changing over and over.</P>

Money moving is what econ is all about. Goods and services.. the dragon is a good and its being transfered for money. Which is then used to buy more goods and the circle goes on and one till its taken outta the system via money sinks.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The ONLY thing that effects the economy is plat farmers that use cheap tactics like vendor farming month ago and things takeing lots of money out like the fuel increase/horses ect. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Frist part causes inflation and the lack of money causes the market to not flow due to people holding on the money just to pay the sinks. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Tell me how the dragon hurts this flow besides your jealousy</DIV>

<P>The Ebay issue isn't a viable comparison since EBay people are making real money off SoE intellectual property which is SoE's standpoint. Far as ruining the economy how about whine about the person selling a high quality pelt for 10p or that person trying to sell that rare for 5x its normal value on your server. </P> <P> </P> <P>Baby Dragons are just a nifty thing... no real bonus.... they aren't making anyone real life money. They have no special status reduction on your house ingame. They are simply a nifty toy. You gonna complain rather that a new player logs on and immediatley starts selling newbie crap for plat and someone accidentally clicks buy? You gonna complain about some new person finding a copper cluster and selling it for 25gp? Whats the difference.</P> <P> </P> <P>The difference is this.... those who got the collectors edition are in 2 categories.... those who don't care and will sell their baby dragon if they need/want the cash.... and those who feel devalued because everyone now with a bit of cash can get the special cool toy they have.</P> <P> </P> <P>Sounds like 1 baby whining about another baby being able to get a rattle just like theirs.</P> <P> </P> <P>Flitch Flea 43 Assassin</P>

I, for one, am glad they've decided to keep baby dragons tradable. In RL people sell rare animals as pets, so why wouldn't they in a game that supports optional housing enhancements? As in RL, exotic pets are expensive. If you don't approve of the price, go trap, breed, raise your own, or simply get a cat. I can never understand why people who have chosen not to participate in one facet of a game would begrudge other people the option to participate or not. Make your choice; RL cash, earn some plat to buy a dragon, or do without one. Do not try to inflict your choice upon me, please. </P> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by Maehem02 on <span class=date_text>03-19-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:29 PM</span>

<DIV>Gosh, and here I thought they maybe might have a "Dragon Egg Hunt" planned for the next weekend. I really could go for a chocolate jum-jum covered fluffy white mushroom-mellow egg or some solid chocolate jum-jum dragons to munch on while slaying a few orc's and gnolls. But even coloring hard boiled dragon eggs is fun. Not to mention that I havn't found a kid yet who can eat the whole thing, even at multiple sittings. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dyeana</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>"Humor ......
