View Full Version : As of 03/17/05, EQ2 Test Client crashed when examining an item [FIXED by SOE Tech Support!]
Just reporting my problem, as of today's patch the EQ2 Test Client crashes any time I examine an item. It doesn't matter what the item is, if I right-click and choose "examine" the client window just crashes with "eq2.exe has encountered an error and must close."Anyone else?<p>Message Edited by Wascen on <span class=date_text>03-17-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:18 PM</span>

Worked fine for me earlier. Do you happen to use a custom UI for the examine window? The machine I tested on today used the default.
Just to let people know...The EQ2 Tech Support team did their job and did it well. I spoke to someone in the EQ2 Chat interface, who led me to a web site where I could talk to a tech support rep online. I did this, described my problem, and they said "delete a few files and then run a complete file scan." That solved the problem. For anyone else experiencing the same issue, here were the files to remove:eq2_default.inieq2_recent.inieq2settings.ex eeq2.ini (optional)and the folder:UI/Yes, this reset the overall GUI almost entirely; however, per-character powers and settings remained.
