Just tried out my All-Access account and found that I didnt get 2 additional slots. This means the RL coin I am paying for the account buys less. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Is this a planned change? If it is, I want the option to stop All-Access and go back to my regular accounts.

No one has the extra two slots yet but I would expect it in about a week since the patch went in on the test server now.

<DIV>The message actually reads "All EverQuest II subscribers " get extra slots. Players on Test are not subscribers and will have to wait like the rest of us for the move to the live servers.</DIV>

I play on test, and the patch notes (for the 17th at 0200) says the two extra character slots are in. However I can not see/access them, am I doing something wrong, is there an extra download i need to get? I was so looking foward to these.

Was going to use one of the new slots to roll up an alchemist to test the new crafting stuff.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone at SOE want to fill us in on how to access the two new slots on test? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks ahead of time!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Blacksabath (Necromancer) - Test</DIV>

Going back to the original poster who never got properly answered. If you go to the Technical help forum you'll see this is a common problem. Geoff has customer service's phone number in his sig for you to call and talk to someone about it. They can not reply to account questions on the forums. You should have 2 more slots after your account is billed the $21.99.~gemic

The point I was trying to make is that while we're all subscribers, since we paid for the game to play on the live servers, the extra slots and experience you get by playing on Test are not a direct part of your subscription. As far as I am aware the basic EQ2 subscription covers the normal 4 slots, not 4 slots plus 4 on Test. The All access pass gives 8 slots, not 8+4. It's your choice if you want to access an extra 4 slots and help with testing. <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I must admit that I haven't played on Test since upgrading to all access. Do you now get 8 slots on test as well as 8 slots on the main servers, giving 16 for all access? If not then why on earth would you expect to get the extra two main slots on Test?</DIV>

So it has to apply to test so that when it goes live there is a lot less chance that there will be problems. It would not make sense to not have this effective on test also.
<DIV>No sign of the new characte slots on test as of 0400 hrs PST. <div></div>Heya,<span> <blockquote><hr>Dessellion wrote: The point I was trying to make is that while we're all subscribers, since we paid for the game to play on the live servers, the extra slots and experience you get by playing on Test are not a direct part of your subscription. I have a Station Access subscription... I have 8 characters on Antonia Bayle, and 8 characters on Test. When the new slots come in on Test, I should have the ability to create 2 more characters. This brings it to a total of 10. Also, when the new slots come to the live servers, I should have the ability to create 2 more characters on Antonia Bayle. This brings it to a total of 10 characters also. (This has been stated by Moorgard in <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=news_announcements&message.id=122" target="_blank">this thread</a>, to whit <i>"That's why we're pleased to announce that we will soon be giving all our EverQuest II subscribers two additional character slots. Subscribing to EverQuest II will provide a total of six character slots, while our Station Access subscribers will have a total of ten slots."</i>) So with the new slots, I should have 10 on Antonia Bayle and 10 on Test. Everyone who wishes to have the Test client installed (and it's a FULL install of EverQuest II, so you're doubling (with wriggle room for larger builds of Test) the amount of space EQ2 takes on your hard disk) can double the number of characters they currently are subscribed for. (Ordinary subscriptions would be 4 on live, 4 on test, and Station Acccess would be 8 on live, 8 on test.) Anyway, the extra slots on Test were supposed to come in this week (begining Monday the 14th of March) - and the extra slots for live were supposed to come in next week (begining Monday the 21st of March)... So far, there are no extra slots on Test that I can see. </span><div></div>

<P>Zandilar, thanks for putting me straight in a <STRONG>civil</STRONG> way, unlike the first poster.</P> <P>I still find it hard to understand how anyone has enough time in the week to play 20 alts.</P>

<P>dont have to play em all in the same week by any means... can play one for a week, one for another week, and so on... or whatever you feel like playing at any given time.</P> <P> </P> <P>Anyways, regular eq2 subscriber here, I also do not have the 2 extra slots on test. Its not an all-access thing.</P>

(But yes, I do have 16 slots filled - some get played a lot more than others.) Anyway, the point being made here is, we're supposed to be testing those two slots (ie: to see if they work, to see if they're stable, and whatever other concievable bug there might be with them), and if they're not there to test, they can't be tested. So this means one of two things. Either everyone, Test and Live, will get the extra two slots next week (which means they'll have been pushed to Live without testing), or (unfortunately) the extra slots for live will get pushed back (and the whines and complaints and accusations that Sony lied will fly thick and fast, let me tell you - character slots are a somewhat emotional issue to some people).</span><div></div>

The basic subscription does cover 4 slots on live and 4 on Test (well 6/6 now). BTW, I *do not* pay to play the game on live.. I pay to play on Test, as do many others. Anyhow, in short, whatever you have available on live, you get an equal and seperate amount on Test. Not sure what you think Test is about, but you seemed confused, hope I helped straighten it up for you.</P> <P>Oh yeah, in reference to your other post, you do not get extra experience playing on Test. As a matter of fact, the live servers have recieved XP bonuses more often than Test has.</P>
