<DIV>Ok heres my solution to the "rare harvests" for all heritage quests... Keep them in, but change the fir, opal, HQ skin, Ebon cluster, ect to be diffrent from the "regular rares" make them lore no drop. Very similar to the PGT granite, dont make it easy as pie to get it but make it so that the people have to go spend some time getting it. Im sure thay could add in a recipe for a special fir staff, ect like they did with PGT.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well thats my 2 cents...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>TO THE DEVS: Umm what do you mean special characters are not in the current mechanics of the game! ( ' ) see even I can do an apostrophe o and heres a Hyphen ( - ).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Calis of AB</DIV> <DIV>Calis Crimson Eagles <------------ should be -----------> Calis' Crimson Eagles</DIV>

<DIV>I wouldnt mind that idea actually. instead of using current rares, have a semi-rare quest harvest that you can receive when you're on that part of the quest. However, there is on underlying fact that leads me to believe none of this argument will matter in 2 months. Lets take palladium as an example. 2 months ago, the broker was selling palladium clusters for 1pp or the palladium torque for 1.5pp. Last night, same items were selling for 25gp and 35-40gp respectively. The market is finally settling as more items make their way into the economy and this trend will likely continue as competition increases. Yes, items will still retain some value.... i dont expect these items to drop in value much more, but they're much more affordable than they used to be. But i speculate <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So... pretty much either way, challenge of finding a rare or your proposal, i'd be okay with it. I do like your idea tho <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Aeg</DIV>
<P>I was thinking about the same thing, just a different idea. Instead of harvesting a severed fir, you could also harvest 500 severed ash... or something like that.</P> <P>But the other poster has a point, I don't feel the economy is fully matured and as it does, prices will come down to something more feasable.</P> <P>On the other hand, if the purpose is to manage the players population completing these quests I doubt much will change. But there is a threshold where a quest goes from challenging, fun and entertaining to outright pain, agony and a waste of time which I'm sure SOE does NOT want.</P>

There was a bug in that quest that didn't consume the Palladium Torque, so more and more Torques were entering the market. Supply up, price down. This also affected palladium clusters as fewer and fewer people needed them for the Torque. However, there's a Patch Note (I think in Live Update #5, but I'm not sure) that states that this bug is being fixed and Palladium Torques will be consumed by the quest. Once this happens watch the prices of both Torques and clusters go back up again. It's the same situation as with Severed Fir. Sigh.
