How about you tell me who starts the quest and then I can go and see what's up.

<DIV>Heh I've said exactly whats up... basil clippings aren't in game... unless someone else has harvested them as a rare (which would be bad since you need 5 of them for the quest)...</DIV> <DIV>quest isn't that hard to find <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> not much out in them commonlands.... I will tell ya though that its an odd merchant who has me collecting these ingredients... I actually found the merchant on accident when I died.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Miral on <span class=date_text>03-02-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:06 AM</span>

<DIV>Guess it isn't that easy to find. Spent about an hour looking for it. Oh well. Guess it will go to live bugged.</DIV>

<DIV>Silly little question here, you have submitted feedback on this in game then right?</DIV>

You know, sharing a little information would be nice. I understand that you don't want to be fighting for rare items, if they are rare. Keep in mind that there are only a couple hundred people on test at all. If we don't take the time to share information, then we can't really do much in the way of testing. Maybe the quest changed, maybe because you have the old quest you can't get the new one, maybe there is no longer a quest giver. We will never be sure, because you don't want to share any information for fear you, you what? Won't be the first one there? Hoarding information is not helping. I'm running all over the commonlands, letting myself get killed just to check each respawn point for merchants. If you don't want to test, don't complain that something doesn't work. You give no details, no one seems to be able to follow up and check if its just you or the quest, you are not helping.Given my erratic play times, I'm lucky if there are 50 people playing, if I'm lucky to get on during prime time, there might be 100-150 at best. There are not enough players to make finding some rare item a problem. So either post up something more then "this quest doesn't work and no I won't tell you where I found it" or be quiet.Shazz

I answered this question here in this thread and I hope you guys like the instance. Please let me know if anything else comes up or any additional feedback you have!</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks Suleman, I'll get right on checking it out <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> then maybe I'll post a spoiler if you people really don't wanna figure it out yourselves.</DIV>

<DIV>and shazz I gave enough information beforehand for it to be fixed, thats all that matters <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV>and even if there are never more than 100 people on at a time, even with people HELPING to test it by sniffing out the nodes it still took forever lol</DIV><p>Message Edited by Miral on <span class=date_text>03-02-2005</span> <span class=time_text>05:23 PM</span>

<DIV>I got to agree with Shazzbot here, try not to hold info from other people so that we can actually test these things. It's not a matter of spoilers or figuring it out ourselves, it's about making a game better for others while we're testing. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>But the finding and completing of the quest really needs tested too... if a quest is too hard for the average person to find, then perhaps that needs looked into as well...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyways, I finished teh quest and got in. nice place. So far everything seems to be working perfectly except for a few things:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) At certain distances, the humanoid mobs disappear, then reappear if they get further or closer.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2) The caster mobs in here seem a bit overpowered... a caster got thru my wards and had me dead before I took off 10% of her health... Granted, the mob was orange to me, but this seems largely disproportionate to the challenge of melee mobs of the same level in the zone.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3) The respawn when dying inside the instance is way up near Fallengate, when I know for a fact that a spawn point exists just outside of the instance... Seems strange.</DIV>

<DIV>do you really have a problem telling us where the quest starts? do you really think that it is priviledged information? who are you to keep secrets? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i mean come on.. i just hope someone else finds it and tells, and i hope they mention your name. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>by your logic no one should ever group.. if you can't get there alone, you shouldn't be there... is that how you feel about quests too? surely not! just tell us cripes.</DIV>

<DIV>EDITED</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>All right you're lucky I'm feeling generous and have a few minutes before I have to do something.</DIV> <DIV>Really though the meat of the quest is finding the starter and merchant... so itll be nothing more than a couple boring hours of harvesting if you read this.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The Secret Valley</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The quest starts from a wanted poster in the middle of the crossroads.</DIV> <DIV>The poster implores you to seek out Merchant Marcus. You can find him in the Southwest part of the Commonlands, in a little valley near Matthius Siegemaker.</DIV> <DIV>Merchant Marcus has seen some Magi enter a collapsed valley right beside him... and offers to help you get in there.</DIV> <DIV>Marcus knows of a potion of earth walking that will allow you to pass through the rocks and enter the valley.</DIV> <DIV>He asks that you get some ingredients for him, which are all harvested off of oasis fungi.</DIV> <DIV>Once you bring these ingredients back, he brews up a potion for you.</DIV> <DIV>This potion is good for ONE entry into the valley. Examine it, drink it, and click the rocks.</DIV> <DIV>If you die and need another potion, hail Marcus and go through his inventory, and you will see he now sells the potion for roughly 27copper.</DIV> <P>There, the walkthrough. But for future reference, asking nicely is more effective than DEMANDING something. </P> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by Miral on <span class=date_text>03-03-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:00 PM</span>

<DIV>btw thanks devs for movnig the respawn location =) these are the first times my feedback has actually been considered and used, so I appreciate that =)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As a side note, at least its someone who actually cares about the future of the game that found it, not some hick thats just waiting for his account to expire =)</DIV> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by Miral on <span class=date_text>03-03-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:00 PM</span>
