if you implement this and the drops HAVE gone up, so i can afford tier 3 / 4 food (i mean actually afford, not "i dont want to spend my money on it") me and 4 of my friends will be back playing immediately.the last patch was a complete kick in the teeth, make it so i can earn enough cash to be buying food / drink without having to save up for a week (a stack of the cheapest decent food i could find would cost me 3.7g @ level 31) and i will be happy to spend it. i cant sell my old gear anymore (vendor will give me 18s for a chestplate i paid 3g for) so drops are the only way to make cash.nice to see you are at least semi aware of the problems the last patch caused for a lot of people

My wife and I were killing the crabs on the north shore of TS, they dropped an adept 1 book.We killed some antelope along the road, one droped some plate legs.We killed one of the new skeleton solo mobs added (there are a ton of them now) and it dropped some Light Armor boots, non magical of course.<b>We actually made money at the end of our Adventure.</b> We've not been able to do this since level 10.

OK, on these armor drops. Are they NPC vendor trash? or are they decent stuff that can be used?Asking this 'cause if the armor drops are good, then there is no point in playing a tailor or armorer anymore.

AQ and dropped armor/gear has always been better than crafted. Also SOE advertise that Artisan is just as viable a class as an adventurer. with every patch since release, the artisan class has been getting the shaft.

<DIV>Theres more BOT crafters than BOT adventurers out there. I stumbled upon a whole community of botting crafters with almost-perfect script systems... They were like locusts in a big swarm, I was.... overwhelmed to say the least. (I've reported this community through at least 3 different means, hopefully it will be shut down)</DIV>

<DIV>I am confused.   What is actually the matter with the crafters?  I am a provisioner and sell out all my food as fast as I make it.  I have all 16 slot boxes and 2 characters and am in process of buying 20 slots.  My cleric alt has upgrades to all of his spells and is trading out his AQ armor for player made armor and Jewlery.  What is the problem here.  The only crafters that have any issues are the ones that are too lazy to work for their sales.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Another thing about Bots I have heard people talk about bots being rampant as provisioner and every other skill out there.  I actually believed this but then I looked into it.  On my server I am top 10 in level.  there are 4 lvl 50s and I know that 3 of them are always on becuse I talk to them.  I only tradeskill about 1 hour a day during the week and 3 or 4 a weekend. Either they have the worst bot programs made or there arent as many as people say there are. I think the majority were taken care of when Sony did the mass banning I really don't think it is rampant as everyone says.  At least not on BB.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV> <P><SPAN><FONT color=#ffffff>Since the patch to take away the interdependencies for sub-components I don't see much of a change as far as profits go. What has changed is what you sell on the broker. Before you would simply grind out subs and sell them on the broker. Now, you have to create all your own subs and then create the finished items and sell the finished items on the broker. I do believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. First of all this makes you much more efficient in gaining trade skill experience. Simply grind the sub-component recipes, which are lower level then the finished item recipes, making stacks of them. Then start grinding out the finished items one after the other with all the subs you made. Do this and you will level up very fast and make good coin off the broker.</FONT></SPAN></P> <P><SPAN><FONT color=#ffffff></FONT></SPAN> </P> <P><SPAN><FONT color=#ffffff>I also read on the test server update notes that they are testing a 60% profit from doing workshop tasks. This will be good for everyone as the crafter will make coin as well as level up the society.</FONT></SPAN></P> <P><SPAN><FONT color=#ffffff></FONT></SPAN> </P> <P><SPAN><FONT color=#ffffff>Drok ~ LVL 27 Armorer</FONT></SPAN></P> <P><SPAN><FONT color=#ffffff>GUK</FONT></SPAN></P></DIV><p>Message Edited by Ram on <span class=date_text>02-28-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:15 AM</span>

<DIV> <DIV>Why dont they just give the mobs cash drops. I mean the group function has an auto split. Why add more useless drops that are nothing but vendor trash. Most times some one gets the shaft on the random loot generator anyway. Seems more often then not that a certain couple people in a group almost always win.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Get rid of vendor trash and let mobs have coin. Doesnt always have to have coin make it the same drop rates as the items if worried about coin harvesting. And make gray mobs not drop any coin.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Guess I just dont see the point in all this item loot, seems to me it makes selling armor or weapons more difficult when you have all this drop loot to contend with. Yeah it may not be the best but if I can get close for half the cost why by player made. Or equip a twink with ok armor and weapons without having to buy a single one from a player. Basically Free.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for crafting as a whole I enjoy it from time to time but I think Armor and Weapons still need some help even with Attuning. Not sure if increasing vendor trash is the answer to food prices but it may help. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Namilla</DIV></DIV>

One of my friends who's always the highest level member in what ever group always seem to walk away with two or three times his fair share of loot. I do normaly win the rotting maggots though to be fair. As such i have to trade skill and solo a very large ammount just to keep up with equipment and skills, he on the other hand never solos and doesn't ever set foot in the trade instances.

I never did the crafting writs. The people who did do the crafting writs have no blame to the economy being out of wack either. SOE (Screw Over Everyone) is to blame. They programmed the writs to pay that much coin in the first place. They should've never changed writs or especially taken away interdependency because alchemists got hosed on that change. It's a [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] selling any food/drink now since the last patch cause most people are making their own provisioners now instead of buying from provisioners. I can make more money now selling a rare I might find while harvesting. Had to start harvesting my own [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] now cause people are gouging provisioners on food raws. You want cheap drinks stop selling [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] like honey that's not refined for 10s each. The writs don't work anymore so no one is going to pay you that much anymore morons.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Suraklin on <span class=date_text>03-01-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:17 AM</span>
