View Full Version : Mid lvl Raid mob should be tuned down
<DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Atm lvl 40's ^^^ grp X3 raid mob cant be killed by a crew of ppl around lvl 35-40.</DIV> <DIV>You have to wait that the mob turn green to be able to kill him. But then loot droped wont usefull as it cap at lvl 40 and will be blue or green or people able to defeat such enconter.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So currently, these raid mob are only killed by 45+ farmer that sell the loot ( rare harvest as well ) and only get richer.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As en example a lvl 42 is insta killed by the spider in nektulos.</DIV> <DIV>She do 1200hp dot , hit for 1800 and barrage for 3800.</DIV> <DIV>Add to that there are two adds that hit for 500 and 800 dmg.</DIV> <DIV>So on first second of pull you have to handle at worst : 8k of dmg.</DIV> <DIV>With a bit of luck and some split tanking on add you can drop down to 3k on first round, but lvl 35-40 healer cant cover the heal fast enough for next round.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Without barrage dmg this creature will be nice challenge for a raid of lvl 35-40.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by nigni on <span class=date_text>02-24-2005</span> <span class=time_text>05:40 AM</span>

<DIV>I agree the spider in nek is silly hard for what you get. On the other hand Coldtooth and a few others i think are ok. May be case by case.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Calypsi</DIV> <DIV>48 Warlock</DIV> <DIV>Faydark</DIV>

<DIV>I'm very curious to hear the strategies people are using to fight these mobs. It seems to me part of the effort really needs to be on our end to make sure we're doing everything in our power to avoid that initial barrage of attacks. If a player can get through those, then comes a point where everyone with the ability to needs to drain the mobs power ASAP. With wards, reactive heals, protection skills of guardians, protection skills of paladins, defense buffs from most of the fighter classes and well timed heals from the rest of your healers... i dont see a huge issue in getting through the first round of attacks. It's simply all about using everything you have available to you. Personally, i think it's too early to scream schenanigans given that i'm sure the proper raiding strategies are still being figured out. The easy way out is to ask for the mobs to be lowered. The other way tho, will not only endow pride in overcoming a huge challenge, but will bring guilds together in the fact that they did so. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My guild is about to the level where we'll be taking this mob on... i'll be sure to let you know how things turn out after our first attempt.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Aeg</DIV>

Trust me even when Nek Spider is green 3 grps of mid 40's can't take her. Even when she's OOP she can still lay the smack down. Spider needs to be toned down or the lvl being reported is wrong and Spider is really lv 45-48^^^x3.

Well, up to 48 can fight the spider. Bring a 48 gaurdian and you can kill it with 1 healer ;p not hard at all. But the spider is more an exception then the rule.
