<DIV>Yea, the horse was fun for a few minutes while it lasted. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But what I found annoying was the nerfing of the combat Art in the name of "class balancing". Definately a post change lame excuse if I ever did see one! Why not try at least being honest once in a while?????</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But it's water over the dam ... so to speak. Personally I think all the level 20 fun spells should be totally nerfed to remove all effects or side benifits. There are some awfull usefull uses to these effects which are also used as class imbalancing items, if that is the reason you wish to stick by. Besides, would have the great benifit to place all classes on a more equal balanced stance.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Holy Steed was fun for a few minutes, but very useless in movement and groups since I always have another character on auto-follow. Very seldom did I see the need to ever use the spell. Even more annoying than the speed movement mismatch, is the DAMMMMMMM SPAM caused by having this combat art scribed and using it once. Every time you cross water, of even try to camp, get the message which starts "You can't do that, ....." You can take the time to nerf it, but can't find the time to remove the harassment spam that was with the spell. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I never did get the cleric "fun" spell since I found the paladin one so annoying. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, Please, at least give us some way to remove / unscribe them from our Knowledge Books.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Linsha - Paladin / Princess - Templar of the Test Server</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I certainly don't want to silence useful feedback, and I'm sure devs have very thick skins by now, but I was struck by the lack of sensibility in your post. Do you really think that devs go to the office in the morning, get their coffee with cream, and attend a meeting entitled "how we can harrass our revenue generating players today"? Maybe you think they would better spend their time in a meeting entitled "How to help <A href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/view_profile?user.id=111301" target=_blank><SPAN>Dyeana</SPAN></A> figure out that players don't have to use a spell they don't like".</DIV>

<DIV>No kidding, the ones who got the jboots from preordering are the ones being treated unfair...why the hell should a paladin/shadowknight get the same run speed without paying? Not once did I complain about the jboots pre-patch, you should be lucky you even got the advantage without paying.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

And i paid the exact same ammount as the people i know who didn't pre-order. And my j-boots came with /claim. The pally / SK horse cost them at least 14silvers. So they are actually the ones who "paid" something, not those that pre-ordered.

<DIV>the taking of aggro doesnt exactly happen all the time... its a bug when the pet gets hit with an AoE attack that it starts attacking. I'm sure this will be fixed in turn as well, the devs just can't do everything in one patch or we'd never see a patch. So yours was the first to be fixed. boo hoo. Most classes are begging to be fixed and you are whining because yours WAS fixed. I'm not trying to convince anything. It was a bug that crusader horses had any run buff at all. Moorgard as well as common sense told us this. You still have the same run speed as someone with jboots on.... and someone with jboots has to lose a piece of their armor and stats to wear jboots. I don't see you taking off your armor to ride a horse... yes there are other bugs with the horse but I'm sure they will be fixed as well as soon as SOE can figure out what is causing them and how to fix them (the fact that you get spammed with "you cannot do that while sitting" for even having the horse spell in your book is probably boggling them hehehe). Anyways, I'm sure rangers would gladly give up the bug that their pet has if some of the other bugs of the class were looked at as well. I think SOE's approach (which I do not agree with) is to fix one class at a time... FIrst was wizards and warlocks, next up is crusaders.... then who knows what? This being for actual bug fixes I mean... doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the bugs created / actual nerfs (like say... scouts not being able to kill weak solo mobs, root being effective broken and useless, or casters not being able to even hit higher level mobs (My 25 necro gets resisted by level 30 mobs 99% of the time... all my casting skills are maxxed too so thats not it... and I have about 100 intelligence when buffed), and lets not forget the fact that sneak and invis no longer work at all if the group is in combat. wanna scout ahead while the group takes on a weaker mob? too bad. and scouts.... poor scouts... half their abilities just because useless)</DIV><p>Message Edited by Miral on <span class=date_text>02-22-2005</span> <span class=time_text>04:52 PM</span>

<DIV>Personally guys, I could care less that the horse was nerfed or not. I would just like to see a way to remove the this "Combat Art" from my knowledge book, which would indirectly also remove the spam associated with it I hope. I find the spam and any speed movement differential offsetting any usefullness or "fun" to having Holy Steed loaded in my Knowledge Book, in either the changed or pre-changed versions. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What I was noting was;</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. The effort they took to change the horse, but no effort to remove the spam which has existed since one of the early Nov 2004 patches and continues to exist dispite numerous bug reports. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. The excuse given that it was class or speed balanced change was lame, since the horses still exist in the game, and at that point in the game, if anyone truely wanted a horse, they should have the smarts to have earned enough plat to purchase one. Yes, it would have required disable combat exp and farm a few mobs for a bit, but it is possible for anyone to have the advantage of the horse as early as the mid teens. And, </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. If the change was made as they say, or more other players state, for "fairness to all the players", change all the level 20 "Fun" spells to be visual or animations only, and remove all the minor advantages from these spells. Make a change which is truely fair across all classes. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Dye</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<BLOCKQUOTE> </BLOCKQUOTE>Miral you don't get it... I could really care less about the Horse. My problem is with nerf herders who instead of playing the game and enjoying whatever class they chose to play, come here to the forums and whine and complain. And with Sony who instead of fixing really bad bugs and making the game better FOR EVERYONE listens to the whiners and pulls out the nerf stick. Nerfherders ruined SWG and they are already hurting this Game as well. And FYI the taking agro only due to a AoE strike is B. S. If my wizard hits help the cat attacks period. Regardless if the mob kicking his butt uses AoE or not.<BR>

<DIV>Now I agree wiht you that they should ix bugs instead of nerfing, but really in teh case of that horse it WAS a bug fix, not a nerf. Maybe not as important as say abilities that dont work or memory leaks, but a bug none the less...</DIV>
