<DIV> <DIV> <DIV>Ok guys, i did some research and have some results for you all.  I'm not sure what server you are on but this information can be pulled down from <A href="http://eq2.strobe.org/" target=_blank>http://eq2.strobe.org/</A> because this forum's not letting me post the information here for you guys sorry : (</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Basically it tells you how many crafters there are on your server , what level and what alighment they are.  Feel free to visit the site to compare for yourself how this patch has created monopoly's for crafters.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For my first example I'll use the server Nektulos. there are a total of only 147 armorcrafters on this server, </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>viewing the list, you can clearly see there is 1 level 50 armorcrafter and 1 level 42 armorcrafter in Freport. In Qeynos the highest armorcrafter is level 38 so all the Qeynos people that use tier 5, you'r pretty much hosed and have to get your Higher end armor from the level 50 if he's available to craft for you and meet you somewhere (wich he has a monopoly on the highest stuff) and then the level 42 can probably make your boots and gloves at a comparison price but in effect the level 50 can name any price he wants to for the stuff that NO ONE in the game can make. I feel sorry for the Quenos people because none of them can get armor on this server in T5 unless they buy from the black market at an increased 40 or so % more so now people are forced to not be able to pass down items or sell them to other players once they are attuned so this server is hosed.</DIV> <P>On Everfrost (the server I play on) it's not Quite that bad but still horible all the same... we have 172 armorcrafters... a look... we have 1 level 49 armorcrafter in freeport then it drops to level 41 then down to level 32... those are the HIGHEST armorcrafters in Freeport!!! Nothing against these people, they worked hard for their accomplishments but the concern and alarm is that They have a monopoly in freeport thanks to this patch and can rightly charge as much as they want too, even if it's close to under what the Black Market Merchant would charge from Quenos items!! So they could automatically get an instant 50% markup  compared to Quenos items in Freeport.</P> <P>I hope this post was informative for you all in researching this information and Prouves to all of you that they have in fact created a monopoly in the game with crafters by forcing everything to be attuned.  *looks for Stars*</P></DIV></DIV>

<DIV>I guess there needs to be more artisans leveled up to make some competition...that's how you get rid of a monopoly!</DIV>

<DIV>agreed, but it's obvious it'll be 2-4 months before that happens because of the hike in cost of crafting now too (for fuel items)</DIV>

<DIV>Yes, I agree that the higher fuel costs and lower NPC vendor buy-back will slow the leveling down quite a bit. I guess SOE could have waited longer before making this change to allow more folks to get to the higher levels, but apparently they felt it was better to change now than later. I tend to agree, changing now affects fewer people than later would.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, it will take some time to see how this change flushed out in the economy. Right now, it appears folks are hanging onto their money, seeing what shakes out with the prices. Personally, I'm testing the market myself, as I'm a tier 3 weaponsmith. I will definitely need to sell my large quantities of "skill-up" weapons to players to afford to level...just hoping the demand is out there for stacks of shaped & generic carbonite weapons. Frankly, I think I will have to just sell em back to vendor for a loss and subsidize my crafting with my adventurer...but we'll see.</DIV>

I didn't buy EQ2 to sit in front of a screen all day, hitting F1-F2 over and over. That's why I left EQ1.And Fanbois: how's about you stop one starring people for expressing there opinion. Are you that gutless and cowardly?

Unless you have some other way to play, I'm guessing you sit in front of your screen hitting buttons and the mouse. As for the Fanbois comment, who cares. If you don't want to miss something change your forum options to show 1 star posts. Other then that, it means nothing. Much like the poster they are rating, they are only expressing their opinion.
