<DIV>As food quality increases the time that the food/drink lasts increases as well.  However, the value is minor.  Once food last about an hour its ok?  Whether I go out with a stack of 20 or a stack of 10 still uses an inventory slot.  In addition, if I die the food is wasted.  If we stop fighting for 20 minutes and I forget to turn food consumption off [which I always do because I forget how to most of the time <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />] the long last food has less value.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Since a stack of 20 1 hour food is enough to keep me in combat for 20 hours or so... that is enough.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So perhaps we should rethink what happens as the quality increases.  There are four approaches:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) The satisfaction level increases.</DIV> <DIV>2) the level goes up??  [I don't know quite how this works at the moment, they all say 10, 20, 30 etc right now, but perhaps there would be an davantge to a level 33??]</DIV> <DIV>3) The time increases</DIV> <DIV>4) The quantity produced increases</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Or a combination of the above.  My vote would be for a combination of 1 and 4.  Here is a suggestion: [I'm using a base example time of 30 minutes]</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Quality Level 1:  30 Minutes,  Satisfaction level 2, 1 Quantity</DIV> <DIV>Quality Level 2:  30 Minutes, Satisfaction level 3, 2 Quantity</DIV> <DIV>Quality Level 3: 45 Minutes, Satisfaction Level 3, 2 Quanity</DIV> <DIV>Quality Level 4: 45 Minutes, Satisfaction Level 4, 3 Quantity</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The above is based on a base time of 45 minutes and a Base Quality of 3.  So the levels are really as follows:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>Quality Level 1:  Base Minutes,  Base Satisfaction level Minus 1, 1 Quantity</DIV> <DIV>Quality Level 2: Base Minutes, Base Satisfaction level, 2 Quantity</DIV> <DIV>Quality Level 3: Base Minutes + 50%, Base Satisfaction Level, 2 Quanity</DIV> <DIV>Quality Level 4: Base Minutes + 50%, Base Satisfaction Level Plus 1, 3 Quantity</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This wuld need some thought, but the general idea is that as a consumer of food I want to buy a stack, I value time, but not as much as it gets over an hour, I definatley value the satisfaction level.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This also makes it really worth while to make pristine as a crafter.  Right now its really not worth it.  Chilled Drinks are the best value for effort [level 2]</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lets take a real example.  Refuge Island ice Tea -- I think it last for a little over 3 hours for pristine.  So perhaps instead we have:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Watery Refuge Island Ice tea, 45 minutes, Average Satisfaction, 1 produced</DIV> <DIV>Chilled Refuge Island Ice tea, 45 minutes, Good Satisfaction, 2 produced</DIV> <DIV>Refuge Island Ice tea, 67 minutes, Good Satisfaction, 2 produced</DIV> <DIV>Delicious Refuge Island Ice tea, 67 minutes, High Satisfaction, 3 produced</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just a thought....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV></DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
