SK Tainted Caress BROKEN after 2/17 patch

Tried for 5h yesterday - not a single essence came out - just to confirm it is broken. No more essence means, we've lost the soul spirit pet...can no longer spawn it...

Can any SKs on Test confirm or deny if the last patch (2/25) actually fixed this issue on test or not? I know the notes say it was fixed but no one has said it was.

<DIV>I haven't done any specific testing on the spell (considering I just got it). I have used it about 40 or 50 times I think and I haven't gotten one yet. Later tonight I will do some dedicated testing on the subject (using the spell more, fighting longer fights, etc).</DIV>Ok, so after about 4+ hrs of testing, I haven't gotten one yet. Well, ive been using spell the whole time i got it.. im now lvl 26 ... ive never got 1 essance... EVER!.It IS broken and by the looks of things if it ever is looked at, by the time they get round to it, it will begray to me...

Supposedly fixed on test back in the <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=tup&message.id=23" target=_blank>Feb 25 update notes</a>.So, yes, they know it's broken and have already made one attempt at fixing it.

We know what the patch message says, but 2 SK's who've actually tried testing it on Test have had no sucess after hours of use. It's obviously not working regardless of what the 2/25 messages say and I hope the Devs here take notice and really "fix" it before the update makes it to the live servers. We're going on 3 weeks now with this spell being broken (ironically from another patch) and I hope it doesn't get looked over for another 3.Finally, it's not the ideal choice for testers to take patch messages blindly on faith alone. They should be out there testing these things to make sure they actually do work. I'm grateful these 2 SKs did test and found it not working because up to now there wasn't any feedback at all.

I put in a CS ticket and  30 min later Edgewater Drains (the zone I was in) dropped. Waiting a few minutes and logged back in. As soon as I popped, I had items in overflow. Guys, it now WORKS...Amcaze, the same happened to me I guess...Wonder if something happened overnight with the update...Yesterday I looked at my Tainted Caress Adept I spell description and it said 2%, now this morning it says 10% - I got 5 essences soloing 10 grey mobs...I casted TC just before they died (dunno if that matters)...Anyway, just wanted to report this.Thanks SOE!/Cheers

I can confirm that the spell description changed sometime in the last 18 hours. We got zero essences last night while in Thundering Steppes fighting giants (and testing out mentoring as well).The spell description now says:Tainted Caress (Apprentice III)Power: 48Cast time: 1.0 secRecovery time: 0.5 secDuration: 1:12Recast: 20.0 secSkill: Determined ZealRequired: 120- Casts Harm Touch on caster. On a successful attack, this spell has a 10% chance to:-- Summons 1 tainted essence- Decrease Piercing, Slashing and Crushing of target by 4(Now I wonder if there are differences between App versions and the Adept versions...)
