<DIV>While we are waiting to have someone explain the actual pricing system, a lot of people have been trying to backward engineer it.  I think we are really close now and if its correct there is a problem.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It seems that the pricing model does not count WROTs as a step in the process.  So the fuels from these items are not counted.  Instead it assumes that a WROT is worth 7 copper.  The actual costs of a WROT are as follows [assumes pristine production and no failures]</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>T1) WROT uses 1 fuel and 1 water. Cost 10 copper, cost per unit = 2.5 copper <BR>T2) WROT uses 1 fuel and 1 water. Cost 20 copper, cost per unit = 5.0 copper <BR>T3) WROT uses 1 fuel and 1 water. Cost 64 copper, cost per unit = 16 copper <BR>T4) WROT uses 1 fuel and 1 water. Cost 238 copper, cost per unit = 59.5 copper <BR>T5) WROT uses 1 fuel and 1 water. Cost 934 copper, cost per unit = 2 silver 67 copper </FONT><BR></DIV> <DIV>But the model assumes 7 copper across all tiers.  So a finished good that uses 8 WROTs at T5 will assume the cost to be 8 x 7 = 56 copper.  The actual cost [counting harvested stuff as zero] is 8 x 2 silver 67 copper = 21 silver 36 copper.  So the price model is way low.  Its actually slightly higher at T1 and T2.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It explains why we were having a hard time working this out.. who would have guessed this?  Of course it is still not fully confirmed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One reason may be that a level 40 society would have WROTs listed all the way up to T5 on the vendors and maybe they sell for 7 copper each?  Anyway, its a silly approach...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If the above is correct I wish SOE would have told us!!  What a waste of time we have all had trying to figure this out....*sigh*</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by SavinDwarf on <span class=date_text>02-17-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:23 PM</span>
