<DIV>It's bad enough that nobody buys furniture...only boxes.  But now with the new patch even quills & paper, which were the only things selling for my alt, can be made by every single crafter simply by purchasing the book!  What's with that?!  I can see that the provisioners are the new rich people in this game...craftsman must be destined to be poor.  It would have been nice to have some warning...I'd have chosen a different career!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If this patch was for equality...let's make it across the board, not just about bringing up provisioners and knocking everything else down.</DIV>

<DIV>All i can say is this: SOE wants you to choose tskill class on what you want to make, no what you want to sell.  If you didn't want a bunch of furniture, shouldn't a been a craftsman.  I hate to say it, but you should have known going into it that furniture (essentially worthless, except for fun) wouldn't sell, and that that is the primary output of your class. If ya wanted to make good money, be a sage or an armor smith.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>You know, I realize that, so I went into paper and quill making...very profitable.  But now everybody can make them...scholars and others who need them and those who just want to make some quick coin...I'm expecting the market to plumet in this field...it's just nasty.</DIV>

<DIV>just make sure your pricing is somewhere between the cost for you to make it and the cost of someone not of your profession to make it. add in an extra amount depending on level, and you should sell fairly well.</DIV>

<DIV>Problem is, the cost right now for most products are the same (referring to other crafters making the new one step refines).  I'll assume they didn't mean for all of the new refines to use only 1 fuel, but my tailor makes WORTs as cheaply and effectively as my alchemist.  Big problem there.</DIV>

New refines are supposed to use 2 fuels (according to DevTracker). That was done so that the initial class still has a cost advantage where they can make a profit by selling at the same price as what the other artisan could make it by themselves.(I suspect the new refines may need to get bumped up to 3 fuels, but I'm waiting to see how it plays out in the market for the next few weeks. It will take a few weeks for short-term shocks to dampen out and for a clearer picture to emerge.)
