they may listen to adventureers but I dont think any of the devs have played or even checked the tradeskiller fourms.... they took something that needed to be adjusted and turned it upside down... tradeskilling as a whole did not need to be fix that much, provisioning did... they used a shotgun to kill a fly... they punshied 99.5% of the community because .5% crated bots and made far too much money... granted they may have made it better for XPing but there are people that like to do other things other then XP, thats one of the things they said when they were deveolping this game.... you can either go out and kill things or make a tradeskiller... now I dont see how anyone can JUST tradeskill and want to play this game...../toss his last 2cp in the mix

I'm wondering how anyone can even make money at tradeskills. It costs money to make money, so you have to adventure to do tradeskills, otherwise you can't afford anything. The only way I've been able to make money, is to sell old items that I can't wear anymore. Now I can't even do that if I have to attune everything. How am I supposed to afford paying upkeep on my house, where I can sell things, or afford tradeskills?I'm having trouble understanding how making items attune-only helps....

<DIV>There will be crafters who will be happy to take your money and make you lower level items. One of the neat things about the crafting system is that lower level items require fewer combines. They're easier to make. <BR><BR>Communicate. You'll find what you need</DIV>

<DIV>I have been watching the test server forums and dreading this patch for the past few weeks.  When the changes were brought to Test (I don't play there) a few weeks ago, I believed that I would feel compelled to leave the game when they went live.  I was not impressed at all with some of the changes that Sony planned to make in the game and believed that the changes would ruin the economy of the game, and would not allow me to continue to tradeskill at a minimum of a break-even rate.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However, I am very impressed that SOE listened to the players who were testing the patch and made several needed adjustments before taking it live.  This includes everything from lowering the (original) ridiculous prices for fuel to making items attuneable.  My understanding is that the original intent of this game is that EQ2 players are BOTH adventurers and artisans.  I believe that the changes that Sony has made will, in the long term, strengthen both the game and the economy within the game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have no idea if I will ever be able to make money at tradeskills.  I make more adventuring than I ever have with my level 26 provisioner and level 18 scholar (was going to be an alchemist, but now...?).  I believe that I will still find that food and drink are too much of a time sink to make more than what I do for myself and a close friend.  Although I would like to be able to make more for others, I do want to be both an adventurer and an artisan so that I can play the game in a balanced way.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm not sure where these big changes will take us.  I am hopeful, though, that they will lead to a longer-term enjoyable playing experience.</DIV>

<DIV>I might add that thanks to this patch we dont NEED ALTS to get along as crafters anymore so it should bring more *playing* time to each and everyone of us.</DIV>

Unfortunately, the vast majority common drops are far better than any of the commonly crafted items I, as a woodworker, can make for a player. Thus, there is little or no market for player made items other than the odd rare combine one might do. I stoppped bothering to make the commonly crafted items (shields, bows, staves, etc.) some time ago for this very reason. No one wants them.

<DIV>The player base as a whole was nerfed. its not about balancing, or even about bug fixes anymore. its about making the game harder so that people take longer to get thru everythign and thereby pay monthly fee longer. Fortunately its backfiring and many people are leaving the game. Down with greedy corporations. Free Carlos.</DIV>

I agree that it's an awesome patch.* I love the new con system.* I think the 15 minute buff time rocks. No more recasting some buffs every three minutes.* I can retire my alchemist and jeweler alts, because my tailor main can make sub-components that I need.* Haven't tried the new solo dungeons, but I'm looking forward to them.* I think attuning armor will help my finished product tailor sales.* I can make a pile of backpacks without constantly running to the bank and logging on alts.Thank you Sony.Thicket (Fanboy does a happy dance, grins and waves at the whiners)
