It would be nice if the harvest nodes for provisoners had a higher chance of coming up. Sometimes provisioner prices reflect the cost to buy a raw component. For example on my server, Crushbone, wild apples generally sell for 20 silver. If just using that one apple and that one water with one fuel, you can produce a 50 minute drink of apple juice. Now that isn't very long but it will have to sell for at least 20+ silver for the ONE drink.I contribute high prices for raw materials to the high demand but also cause they are rare, at least food raw materials. I spend 5-6 hours out there harvesting in t4 areas and only come back with MAYBE a stack of honey, apples, oats, shallots and cashews/cucumbers compared to the 8 stacks of Feyiron, 9 stacks of briarwood, 4 stacks of rough opaline, 3 stacks of velium clusters, 5 stacks of roots and pretty much 2 stacks of all the alchemy raw's. I think there is a huge disproportionate of food harvest nodes as compared to everything else. Now I am sure that the reason is because pretty much all the other tradeskill classes use the rest. But when I harvest and see endless and endless pops of those alchemy gardens.. Stuff that never really sells, you have to wonder. Also there are just too many items that come off ONE node for food. I believe there are like 6 or so food items off ONE type of node, where with the other nodes, its wood for wood, out of 3 chances you are going to get wood. From a root, you are going to get a chance at 3 roots. For the ore, out of 3 chances you are going to get a feyiron cluster. For the rocks, you will get a chance at 2 types of mineral, each tier has at least 2 items from the rocks. With the food nodes you have 6 items you can harvest. That is three times more items than any other node, besides alchemy. I think you can fiddle around with the fuel costs and you can try other things, but the simple fact that the raw materials for provisioners (especially since a lot of recipes call for TWO raw materials) isn't as readily available as with other tradeskills will always make that price high.Edit: Forgot about roots =)Spelling
Message Edited by Verky on 02-17-2005 01:52 AM
Message Edited by Verky on 02-17-2005 01:54 AM
