Someone in the QA department could manage this process.

Setup private forums for this test team to interact with the dev's without the prying eyes of the general game population, even enforce an NDA for this test team so that the devs can freely discuss patches, concepts, and ideas with this test team.

Allow QA department people to remove players from this test team who are not contributing to the overall goal of improving the live game and or are being destructive to the process or who break the NDA.

Make this team an exclusive group of players who are proud of the job they perform and one of the perks they get is hands on interaction with the devs and direct input and feedback on the development of the game.

Yes this would probably be a full time job for one SOE employee to manage the team, consider applications for new testers, and monitor for testers that are not helping the process. But, what you would gain once things were rolling is a very open minded tight knit group of testers that would provide invaluable help for the developers in improving the game.

Titus

Redemption / Unrest

Edit: Spelling

Message Edited by Dredd25 on 01-29-2005 03:42 PM

It's easy to find people who want to beta something that is not available to the public yet, but much harder to get people to do that for a game this is out already.
