I'd also like to know, I'm so excited about these new changes, I really want to see them go live!Maybe once the devs get over their lack of sleep they'll let us know.

In other words, it may happen in 2 more weeks. I am very surprised they have let some of these bugs go this long, like the qeynos 25 item limit.

Sigh.. I was afraid they'd be gun-shy after that outage. As a conjuror, I was REALLY looking forward to some of those spell fixes and loot table fixes so that I might be able to use some of my spells and actually get drops. So now I'm stuck with buying rares to make adept3's of spells they have never dropped on any server (such as tellurian soldier) but then not wanting to use them since the same patch is supposed to give the ability to make an adept4 from the same rare. With no mention of upgrading all existing app3/adept3's to app4/adept4, do I really want to use that rare right now? As it looks, they won't put the patch out till next year, which means my four day weekends I will be gimping around with broken spells, and once they get fixed they won't really matter to me anyways. Here's praying for the patch ASAP!

It has nothing to do with being gunshy guys. I'm sorry but this patch is not ready for you. If this was pushed over now you'd all just be screaming abut all the bugs in it. Let us catch as many as we can first and have them fixed. Its better that way :p
I think this is the Test Server's Feedback forum. Which I belive to is for providing feedback about issues on the test server.

This game shouldn't be this bug filled almost 2 months after release and the devs have more than ample time to fix this update as it has already been delayed what? a month? The devs get no credit from me if they cannot figure out what cause the problems last week and ensure this update causes no problems.

Lets look at Microsoft, they are also contantly releasing updates and patches to thier software, a lot of issues do not get fixed and take time to get corrected while not cuasing other issues. Thats the nature of software development. You change one thing and it could have an undersired effect in other places in the app/game. Im happy they are taking the time test this update throughly. All the information the moderators have given us points to them making some extra time to refine the update. Will this upcomming up update likly cuase other issues? Yes. Any time you make changes to a complex system undesired effects will happen, get over it. Let them take the time they need to get it right, not having the time they need to things prefect was likly the reason we have these bugs in the first place. They have been keeping us update on the progress of the update: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=news_announcements&message.id=30I will agree that a company should thourghly "swat" any bugs in the software but due the other departments likly Marketing software gets released a few weeks/months early and things go wrong, its not the fault of the devs. The devs are working as hard as they can and should be shown respect and understanding. Give the game time, things will get ironed out and stablized.<p>Message Edited by 2bit on <span class=date_text>12-23-2004</span> <span class=time_text>01:58 PM</span>

Agathorn, I wanted to thank you for your response. I guess if you guys think the patch is still buggy, then it must be really bad, considering the state of the currently released product. =) Joking aside, if it was that buggy, why was the big patch announced to be almost ready to go, and then get pushed back 3 weeks +. Are you guys short-handed on the internal test department?

I think they were short-handed because most of the crew was on holiday.

I just honestly think people have no patience anymore.
<DIV>Where is one to look for progress on these updates? Although EQ2 is bounds better with their "Keeping everybody in the Know", I can still see room for vast improvements.</DIV>
<DIV>A game shouldn't be this buggy . They shouldn't have deiceded 3 days before end of beta to redo the crafting system .</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If they wanted to redo the crafting system they shouldn't have launched the game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Imho we should all get 2 free months for beta testing the game </DIV>
<DIV>Hardly a 'buggy' game when compared to other MMORPG releases and definately not warrenting a free week, let alone 2 months.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>People are enjoying the game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The release of the 'big patch' will simply further than enjoyment.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

As for being "this buggy", this is the least buggy MMOG I have ever come across and I played most of them at release.. if anything, they should be charging extra for not having a completely fubared game for the first year like everyone else that published one did.

Don't give them any ideas to charge more please Kwoung. As a casual player, that would hurt. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>Don't know what hole you crawled out of Kwoung, but I'm looking over my roommates shoulder as he's playing the game that Sony rushed this one out to beat to the market and ya know what? I have yet to see ONE bug - period.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The competition has put out a much more professionally polished and THOROUGHLY tested product. Maybe the content doesn't compare, maybe it does - we'll see. Either way, that game is through beta-testing while this one still has a long way to go.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And Sony's responses to the community here has been nothing but a lot of "wait and see" propaganda, while we continue to pay try to play a bug-ridden game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm beginning to like cartoony graphics more and more as I encounter roadblock after roadblock in Sony's new flagship (or shipwreck, if you prefer).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
