I find more often than not, a song without lyrics helps bring out the mood you're trying to portray in machinima.  For good orchestra "mood music" I turn to the EQII directory <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I kinda like Enya and other Irish groups like Clannad for a mix between true inst only and trying to match the lyrics to the movie....you get the vocals without distract lyrics. Then again, depends on were you set the move, but you can dig up lots of interesting "World Music" to change the flavor of you peice. <div></div>

I abslutly LOVE instrumental music. It leaves your mind open 100% to ANYTHING you want to imagine is happening in that song. Since there are no lyrics, the song is not really written into your head about what EXACTLY is happening. I mean, you can tell if it's happy, bouncy, sad, dangerous by the mood of the song... but if you're creative like me... you can make the song into anyhting you imagine
