Glad you chaps liked the traitor It's my favourite too, but I was a bit worried about the google upload as it played havoc with the music and it's sort of hard to make out Shackleton when he shows up near the beginning and near the end

This one was a pain to film, but here it is

Shackleton and the Temple of Cazic

Nice Videos. That one reminds me of Indiana Jones : )Its amazing how you filmed that one in CT its always a lag fest in there on Permafrost =(

Indiana Jones was definitely my inspiration

I've slated the Temple one for improvement. It begins a bit abruptly That's because I was so frustrated trying to film it. First trying to film the jumps with UI switched off and actually make it to the other side (had to sprint ), and then the door which stays open for like 10 minutes and you have to keep the mobs clear. Argh! So once I had the shots I sort of threw it together a bit.

But I'll go back to it at some point and clean it up a little

Message Edited by Shackleton1 on 01-21-2007 04:11 PM

Im glad this has been bumped. I'd forgotten how good these were and pleased to see the new additions. In particular:

Hunting the General - Loved the fighting scenes, the use of still interspersed with movement was great. The retrieving the sword from the wall was a good shot.

Shackleton and CT - As has been said a great Indiana Jones tribute! Loved the music.

Shackleton Pull - I think we all know someone like this (in my recent expericene its been wizards - note to squishies stay at the back!! (sorry)). Again the cheeky still shots as he is running away are very good, great camera angles.

The music choice for all of your videos is diverse and suits the theme very well. As Irras has said, the camera shots, patience waiting for lighting and weather is all appreciated by those of us who endeavour to do the same.

I would love to see a longer video from you (not sure if google video restricts size but I would make the effort to download from File Front for one of yours).

Lets see more!

Mori

I forgot to mention Shackleton in Zek.

Its just a short fight in a lowbie zone. And as a girl who isnt keen on fighting videos this could have been reeeeeallly boring. But you even managed to make that watchable and THAT takes talent!

hehe

Mori

Thanks a lot Comments are very much appreciated

I have more videos planned. They'll keep rolling out for a bit. That said, I'm really beginning to hit my limits. Really need a video editor that can zoom in on different parts, zoom in at different speeds, and ideally do panning shots. If anyone knows a free video editor that does that, let me know

For a longer video... well, I would love to do one, but I would definitely need help. Cast isn't an enormous problem, I have a bunch of friends who I burden with the task of posing (and I should really credit them too...) but I also need a second cameraman because the shots I can do of Shackleton while playing him are very limited. And there's no way I can do the really polished, professional stuff like Irras's videos (which I watched for the first time the other day). I don't have the hardware or the software.

That said I got inspired and planned out a movie composed of shorter movies... it looks just about doable, although would benefit greatly from the things above... But maybe one day

Okay so I got a little ambitious

This is a series of in game events documented by a series of videos. Hopefully it will all go smoothly. Don't expect to understand what's going on in this episode

The Book of Promises, Act I

Thanks <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src=" width="15" height="15" /> It's a bit rough in places, but I really liked the idea of it <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src=" width="15" height="15" />*SPOILER*This you wouldn't be able to get I think unless you were on the same server and intimately familiar with the Guardians of the Blood, but "Blood on the Cards" is a bit of a trick. It doesn't, as you'd expect, refer to the actual blood that ends up on the cards; rather, if you look at the flag that Death is carrying, it's the emblem of the Guardians of the Blood (also shown at the end of the video) - hence Blood on the Cards. This indicates that the whole things was a set up <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src=" width="15" height="15" />But it's really quite obscure <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src=" width="15" height="15" />
