<DIV>What kind of set up or computer are you trying to take video on. What hard drive? What CPU? How much Ram you have? All of this is going to make a diffrence as to how your FRAPS video looks, IF it cant write to your hard drive fast enough and cant hold it all in ram its going to drop frames. Same if you are pushing the limits of your cpu. Like Zema said are you recording at half or full. Are you recording at 30 fps? I think just about all the people making videos here are using fraps and the stuff comes out good and its waht i started to use myself. Im not slamming you or anything just trying to see if the issue is not with fraps but with what else it could be. I have also found a few tricks in editing on how to deal with video slowdown and video lag.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

We had a few problems with FRAPS, and opted to record using FastCap Pro. It is however extremely basic: the options are pretty much "set frame rate", "capture", "stop capturing"The quality was pretty decent though. The pixelly cack that it has is down to youtube rather than the capturing. <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=screen&message.id=24665" target=_blank>click to see</a> <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

I use Planet Game Cam (lite) and it works great.. the pro version seems to have some problems with EQ2, but the lite version works great.http://www.planetgamecam.com

Any video-capture program will lag your computer. It has to run EQ2 in the first place, record the screen and actively save it. That's pain on your video card, CPU, RAM and HDD -- your whole computer! I personally use FRAPS at half screen since I play at 1280x1024.<div></div>

I retract my statement.. the latest version (1.4) does NOT work with EQ2<p>Message Edited by Jethal_EqRangers on <span class=date_text>09-26-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:55 PM</span>
