I finished my new movie last night, but it won't let me finish it in Windows Movie Maker. I click to save it to my computer, then type the file name and set Desktop as the save location. It comes back with an error msg that pretty much says:

Make sure the save location is still available, the source files are still available, and that there's enough space.

So I checked to make sure my desktop was still there. It was.
I checked to make sure my vid files were still there. They were.
I checked my drive space... 80+ gigs should be enough, I'm fairly certain.

So I went back into Movie Maker and tried to Import all the video files again and GOT ANOTHER ERROR MSG! Says I can't even import the video files to Movie Maker because the codec to view those files isn't on my computer. Yet, I play the whole thing in Movie Maker and they all play properly.

HELP!

-Kreep

Heh. Well... glad you liked it

Yeah, Movie Maker's been giving me grief for awhile... since I started using it, really. It stops responding every couple of minutes so I have to reload my project and make sure I click the save button after every time I make a change to the video. Makes movie-making an even more arduous process.

Update on my issue: I opened a different Movie Maker file and I can import the same problematic video files without any errors. Seems I've got a corrupted Movie Maker project file? Any suggestions out there?

-Kreep

sounds to me like youve deleted one of the scenes from your movie stashyou could try saving the project as a different namemaybe also updating windows movie maker
