<DIV>Ok, we've all seen the amazing videos that these people have created and I gotta know how some of the animations were done. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Like:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1. How did some of you get it so it looked like your characters were kissing?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2. How did some of you get it so that one picture was lightly in the background of another? (Is this possible in Windows Movie Maker?)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>3. In one video, it looked like two characters were hugging! How did you manage that??</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>4. I know that characters can't really interact with furniture as far as sitting or laying down (unless you're a monk). Is there a way around this?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sorry I'm asking so many questions. I just don't want to finish this video and me say down the line "it'd be really cool if I could have gotten them to do this..."</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This project is truly a labor of love and I have a new found respect for anyone who makes one and pulls it off. /bow</DIV>

If you line them up right, and /listen.. they kiss! At least thats how I did it hehe.</DIV> <DIV>2) Layers. This is NOT available in windows movie maker. He just cut it off before they raise there one hand to scratch their head. But I'll let Irass confirm this, im not 100% sure.</DIV> <DIV>4) I havent done much with interacting with furniture, the only thing I could think of is either photoshop it and make frames if you want her/him to be moving, or use a blue screen (Tent in Maj Dul) and use an emote where they bend there knees or somthing,  export a few  frames as jpg , blue box it, and add it ontop of the furniture you want.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And dont be sorry for asking so many questions ^_~</DIV>

Thank you SO much for this. I'm going to play around with a few emotes this weekend and see. I know for one scene, I have to photoshop her, but that's not a problem. Just takes a bit of patience.

How did some of you get it so it looked like your characters were kissing?</div> <div>   <font color="#cc6600">A /ponder emote, a good camera angle, and character positioning makes for a pretty passionate kiss and hug.   I was kinda wondering what a /ponder and /listen from two character would look like.  /nudge   I'll leave that to your video to show me <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  Remember that when you come up with a new way of doing things, you make the rest of us go "WOW!"Zemfira's /listen kiss blew my mind.  Although, she changed it, it used to show the guy touching the girls cheek.</font></div> <div>2. How did some of you get it so that one picture was lightly in the background of another? (Is this possible in Windows Movie Maker?)<font color="#cc6600">It's semi possible.  But let me tell ya, I've pushed WMM to the limit, and it's a pain to pull this off.I'll try to explain.First, start a new project, and import the scenes you want to overlap.  Do a simple fade from one clip to the next.  Make sure the fade is long, around 10 sec (or longer) would be good.Save that project as something other than your actual movie.  Save the project as a movie. Now that you have a .wmv file, import that into Movie Maker. Now, you want to cut out the middle of the fade.  (have I lost you yet?)<u></u>Before the save you'll have this:<u>______________________________________________           Clip 1      ...,,;;;:::     fade                        |              Clip 2         |</u>                   <u>THEN SAVE and import the wmv.</u></font><font color="#cc6600"><u></u>After save:  You'll only have 1 clip now.  Just cut out the middle.<u>______________|__________________ |_____________          Clip 1                |                                     |     Delete this part   |</u></font><font color="#cc6600">                            |                                     |                            ^                                    ^                       SPLIT                             SPLITThen you'll want to import Clip 1 into the movie again, and fade it in at the end of the split clip you just created.</font><font color="#cc6600">    <u>__________________     __ ____                                         </u>    <u>| middle of the wmv clip                     |,,,,....;;;;:::::    Clip 1    |</u></font><font color="#cc6600">    <font color="#99ff00">****</font>If all this sounds too complicated, I made a video explaining it for you.  <font color="#66ff00">****</font></font><font color="#cc6600"> Hey, who said the evil kitty doesn't have a nice</font><font color="#cc6600"> side?  <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhiFTppg7NE" target=_blank>Learn to Overlay in WMM</a></font></div> <div> 3. How did you manage that??   <font color="#cc6600">I'm assuming you meant All Good Things.   That's just the /ponder emote again as Zemfira said.  Now there is something I want to say about that.  I wish I'd known this sooner, but you can extend that hug emote with some tricky film cutting. You need to find the last frame that looks like they are hugging.  (Anymore and they'll be scratching their head.)</font><font color="#cc6600">Once you're on the frame, go to TOOLS, and TAKE PICTURE FROM PREVIEW.  Save it, and it'll automatically import. Depending on the toons used, /frustrate can also work well for a bit more energetic hug.I also know if you have a female and male ratonga and you position them just right, the regular stand motion makes them look like they are rubbing noses. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  Very cute. While I don't make videos or the lie I do play around with the emotes, camera angles and emotes.  My friends put up with me =P  though I will say getting people in the exact right place for stuff can be frustrating.  They seem to only take large steps at a time =PIf you want soemone dead or collapses on the floor that aren't a brawler, SK's and high level Monks have the ability to FD othere people.<div></div>
