don't you get a gap down the middle of the game while you are playing?

No, atleast not down between my character. I play in windowed mode so I can adjust it slightly so my character is fully visible on my primary monitor. It works great!

I'm so on a mission to save up enough cash to build a new rig.

I feel the need to see EQ2 in all it's glory. It's become an actual sensation deep inside, like being hungry...or dying (to see some awesome #%$!@& graphics!).

It's pics like these that keep me going.

$1,000.00 saved. $4,000.00 more to go.

*Sigh*

What are your specs now? If possible, I'd just upgrade. Save you a few thousand bucks. =P

Actually, two-years ago my rig was top of the line. But then SLI and PCI-Express and dual-processor boards came out, and now I need to build something which has all three.

(Or at least the first two; I've been hearing about bottlenecking wasting the power of dual processors.)

Right now I have:

P4 2.4 GHz

Win XP SP2

1 GIG of generic DDR RAM

ATI Radeon 9800 XT 256 MB video card

Sound Blaster Audigy 2 w/ Creative 5.1 speakers

20" Philips CRT monitor (non-flat)

It will be a good second machine for when friends come over and we want to blow one another up, but I'm definitely needing some new goodies.

Message Edited by Phylicus on 12-06-2005 09:53 PM

I'll go you one better... I've hooked up my rig to my 60" HDTV through the DVI/HDMI port with a patch cord...

Ahhhh nothing like EQ2 on a 60" bigscreen....

Just get the 30" Dell widescreen, should be about $2000 soon. Better have some beefy video cards though.
