Hey all, Had some questions I was hoping to get help with.I currently have a lvl 70 swashie I raid with, but have had a seldom used ranger ~63, (stopped playing more because he didn't 2 box as well as my swashie)So was thinking of betraying to assassin. Though I'm wondering if the number os positional/stealth required CAs might make this silly. The swashie has 4 positionals though so I'm somewhat use to themFor the second character for my duo would be a fury. I figure the fury could pull, My assassin would get off a stealth attack or two, then would straight up melee for a bit. Now my hope would be this would be a reasonable combo for two boxing, and then of course straight dps when I group, and potential even might raid with him. I'm hoping with the old and new AA's I can maximize the duo straight up melee a bit without gimping his grouping/raiding dps.Is this just silly? Would my dps be higher than the swashie in the duo mode at least for single targets? My hope is if I can be about as successful in my 2 boxing (spend about 60% of my time there) and then fun in grouping and Raiding it might be a fun to do.Does the assasin get any kind of stun/knowck down off of a combat art( I searched the spell list but didn't see any)? (Swashies get one stealth attack that stuns/knockdown) so makes it a bit easier to get an extra positional off.Any thoughts on this much appreciated?Drevva

Assassins get a single stun. Cheap Shot. 2 second duration, shorter on mobs with an up arrow (still gives me just enough time to get behind a ^^^ heroic and use my stealthing attack and a high damage from stealth attack)Hate wise... we don't have the best frontal dps so if I am tanking I tend to let someone else get aggro and then loose a big ol' stealth attack on the mob, hard to drop aggro then :smileyhappy:Knockback? What is this thing of which you talk? :smileytongue: (we do actually get ONE, as an AA. Not sure on its usefulness though)With EoF we got a few really nice AA's for soloing (/grouptanking). One removes all disadvantages of our defensive stance (once 5 ranks are on it) and another increases Cheap Shot duration by 1 second ( once 5 ranks are on it... 0.2secs per rank)Basically the secret to tanking with an assassin is to hit buttons VERY fast. With Concealment we can loose a few decent stealth attacks even when infront of the mob, if you are very quick. We have decent survivability, being chain wearers, and we can give ourselves a bit of healage with a Vitality Breach poison. Expect to take a lot of damage from most triple up mobs though.
