I want to make two scouts for me and my wife to duo with.  I was thinking of a Brigand and assassin but would a swashbuckler be better to team with? Also, I have a SK.....would a SK be better to duo with than a brigand? I know the SK damage would suck compared to a Brigands, right?  So, the two scouts would kill things so much faster making incoming damage not as important.  Also, I would use a shield as the brigand....Any ideas or suggestions are welcome and appreciated, thanks!!<div></div>

<DIV>The SK might be better.  Plate just is so much better for tanking, and SK still does respectable DPS.  If you play a brigand or swashy you'll have to gear them to tank.  One advantage of swashy or brig is that you'll have stealthing for everybody.  I'm not sure a rogue can keep aggro even with the assassin HT but they can do pretty well. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One consideration for SK is they can "heal" sort of with their lifetaps and that combined with plate armor can mean you can do some more difficult encounters.  You'll lose a bit of dps but a good assassin can tear through everything anyways.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Might also want to consider a paladin.  They make a great duo partner because of their decent gear, heals, rez, and amends on whatever dps class you pick.  Paladin + brig or swash would also give you group invis while having decent dps.  If you don't pick a paladin and you want a rogue, the swashy has a hate transfer which is nice, like the assassin one.</DIV>

<DIV>i have a 70sk and 70 brigand</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>for a non-healer duo either work fine with an assassin</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the SK does have far far more sustained staying power</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the brigs miti debuffs coupled with high damage assassin attacks means fights won't last long though</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>as sk/asn you would have an easiertime with hard linked mobs</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>as brig/asn you would have ridiculously short fights on big single mobs, then wait (1 min for most things) for refreshes</DIV>

My ex plays an SK and I play an Assassin, we've worked that duo a LOT.  It can be very, very powerful when you're good at working together.  Though bear in mind, an SK specializes in AOE and an Assassin specializes in single-target damage, so that can make some things a bit touch-and-go.I used to duo my assassin with a brigand a lot, we were a formidable force, hehe.I haven't played my swashie with the SK much yet because we've been busy leveling my Fury (raid group needs more healers.  Sigh).  I have a feeling they'd work very well together, and a brigand/swash combination even better so.<div></div>

For pvp, brig and assy make a pretty [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] devistating comob. An Assassin is probably the best rogue for holding aggro, most of our attacks are taunts so to speak. If we are tanking we arnt really going to be able to use them effectivly, so if the person takes aggro it opens its back up to us for a substantial attack, which will ussually get aggro right back. For simplicity sake though assassins are best when paired with a tank, then they can take full advantage of thier dps. An Assy Sk combo would probably make a pretty productive pve set up, although brigand sk might be a bit more utilitarian.Brig/Swash + Fury would be nice too.<div></div>

i duo'ed with a brigand quite a bit, we were able to kill ^^^ yellow and orange drakes in lavastorm fairly easily.
