They use STEALTH to remain undetected. They use PATIENCE to wait for the right moment. They use SPEED to move in at the right moment and to stay away from the wrong ones. They use INTELLIGENCE to determine which moment is which.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I understand that alot of people out there want the end all class. If thats the case keep looking. Assassins run from danger and wait for the stragler because taking on a whole group is not what we do.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I play on a PvP server and I get PWNED. My kill death ratio is not as high as you think. I do great in grps as long as i keep the agro off me. In PvP I track down the Qs for my grp and i am never the first to strike as in a grp on the PvE side of the game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for solo work its quite simple. You look for the mob thats by himself and weak. Greens are fast kills and you can take on 2 or 3 at a time. you can easily kill 5 greens in the time it takes you to kill 1 white. It requires less skill and because of this I sometimes take on green triple up heroics. Just to keep me fresh. I die alot. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Assassins do not have the best mitigation. Therefore you will find yourself walking around killing things one at a time and spending time watching your target waiting for the right moment to strike. When you strike the target should die in less then 10 seconds. If it doesn't I break off and kite while I run away. Surviving is the prime objective. Killing is not. Assassins are built to silently attack ONCE and then fade into the shadows. In PvP i run around one shoting people and then imediatly go back to stealth.pick a new target and one shot them. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>All in all the best advice i can give you is be patient. Many times I have found myself watching people run all over the place doing things and fighting people and when they think they are god and are healing themselves from a big battle, when they are weak and feel safe, I strike. Kill them and move on to my next target. I have tracked a yellow priest in a full grp for 2 hours and never attacked but once. I killed him and got away. Thats what an assassin does. Thats why you play an assassin. Anything else is just not me and if you don't like the sound of stalking an opponent for a long time and waiting for that one golden opportunity, then you don't want to be an assassin.</DIV>

Psh i take on Grps, i'll run up take out a Cloth and Evac... Say what you want, but a kill is a kill, and ganking a Cloth in a Full Grp or even a Raid is f'ing funny as hell because everyone is looking around like [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] just happened haha...<div></div>

I play an assassin on Nagafen, I look for someone I would ENJOY killing whether they be in a group, solo, full hp full power, LoP or LoH, I do NOT care. Skill is a great thing to have go buy some. The assassin in EQ2 is a single target BEAST. You can hit ppl close to you, you can drop them if they even THINK about running away, and if you don't feel like getting close you can fire off a few thousand dmg in hits before they even know what the hell happened and where it came from. Seriously man I do NOT like someone telling me what my class is for and I hope you do betray to a ranger and play on Nagafen....because as of now, "I challenge you sir!! To, a DUEL!"</STRONG></FONT></DIV>

LOL @ Faabio. You Skratch and Tiglett are the only assassins on these boards I actually listen to man. I think you three and myself should make an assassin book so ppl stop rolling the class and making us look bad.... sigh if only it required no effort......

Everything between "my kill death ratio is not so good" and "I die alot" was just white noise.Seriously dude, this isn't hide'n seek anymore.. if I find you sneaking around 2 hours around a target I have to kill you in the name of natural selection. Basically assassins in eq2 are assassins in eq2, and that's the end of it.<div></div>
