hi there! im a returning assassin who hasent played since the days of no expansions and what not, so needless to say my comback has been a little overwhelming!<div></div>i unfortunatly no longer know anyone, am not in a guild, and am basically lost. i have desert of flames and kos, but im not sure what to do with either of them. i figured out my attacks and stuff again and am getting back in the groove of things, but my once powerful gear appears to be completely obsolete now. when i played it was basically all top-tier, fully crafted ebon, crown of trannix, all the fun little things like FBSS and what not, but now that stuff doesnt even compare with what ive seen. so, where do i begin? do people even use assassins anymore in groups? are there certain quests or areas i should be heading to? just lots of little questions like that are on my mind, if anyone would be bored/kind enough to help me out i would be much obliged!im level 51 and have 100% vitality, so getting back on my feet shouldnt be too hard, i just need a guiding hand =)thank you!

<DIV>hey man... i reccomend you /join guk.assassin as all of the raid level assassins are there and can definitely help you figure out the little things. i'll help where i can too. just /tell butcherblock.elemeno if ya need. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But to answer the initial barrage... Yes, we are used, and are the top dps in the game. no specifics, on quests, really... fbss is still a solid haste item unless you get a lucky drop of something better, but not much till the mid/late 60's anyway. keep in mind your 2 most important stats are str/int. yes, i said int, not agi. agility is on EVERYTHING we get. no need to look for it. i go for int myself, and i wound up with capped str (solo) and near capped agility while only netting 161 int. i suck =p but that's what potions are for =) anyway, look for us in game, we rarely hit these forums much. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>yabo!</DIV>

Part of what you should do/where you should go depends on what your plans are. Are you looking to hook up with a raid guild or do you want to stay casual. If raiding is the goal then level like nuts, just skip long quests and grind. If you can find peopel your level get groups going to do tombs and silent city then move on to shimmering citadel/poets palace for fast leveling. Once you hit 57 or so you can probably start doing kos zones. Sanctum of the scaleborn generally has a ton of people at the entry lfg, get a good group and you can level fast in there. Assassins are definately sought after, best dps there is.

Hey thanks judged_one, That was helpfull for even me as a lvl 53 almost 54 assassin, The AA setup you have looks great, I actually have to respec mine unfortunatly, I was stupid when I got back in after a year off I was still thinking AGI was our better skill. A year ago it was supposed to be AGI, STR, STA now from what I've read its STR, INT, AGI, STA. I'm not sure if thats completely correct, but so far getting my STR up is a pain, I have double the AGI then I do STR, and my INT is half that still. As I have been getting int up I have been seeing a way higher proc, and my STR has really increased my max hit alot. AGI seems to do absolutly nothing.<div></div>

With the stat caps being raised in the next expansion work mostly on STR gear. 520 aint gonna be enough anymore..</div>

520... HA! mines like... erm... in the 100's still, while my AGI is still in the 200's Int is about 50 some. Yeah, really bad specs, just wish I could find a way to change it.<div></div>
