Why should i play as an assassin?

Both in raids and groups.  In raids our Hate Transfer ability is sometimes utilized for the MT and in groups it should always be up.  If there is one negative it would be our lack of raid utility, but for a class that does this much DPS to have raid utility as well would be very unfair IMHO.</FONT><BR>- Can Assassins solo "okay"?<BR><FONT color=#66ff00>Ya they can solo "okay", takes some skill to solo well and gear plays a large role.  I can solo Nest (takes awhile) and most 68^^^.  Need the right kind of poison to solo.  I find the life tap and snare poisons to be very effective, also the stun poisons are very useful.</FONT><BR>- Is the Assassin an popular class?<BR><FONT color=#66ff00>I would say so</FONT><BR>- Why should i play as an Assassin?<BR><FONT color=#66ff00>For the experience and its a lot of fun</FONT><BR>- Which class on the good side is the "same" as the Assassin?<BR><FONT color=#66ff00>None compare, but technically a Ranger is our good side equivalent</FONT><BR></P></BLOCKQUOTE>

Previous poster has it right - fun.A couple of things though.Don't play an assassin expecting the soloabilty of a Rogue in WoW - Our DPS goes up a hell of a lot in groups on long fights - where it would go down alot soloThis doesn't me we can not solo by any stretch of the imagination, sticking to single target mobs or 1 squishy 1 tough one in a group (ex. Isle of awakening Handlers with the minion, minion squisy but high dps, droag bruiser might parry alot)- What do you find positive and what do you find negative about this class?Postive, I have leveled and love the class, the only alts I have are for tradeskills - I came from wow with a priest main and 5 other 60 alts so rather a large step for me personaly.Negative well, we dont solo as well as other classes on somethings, but we do on others - give and take, we dont come off bad at all.Negative - Our AAs are pretty much set in stone if you are going to raid, there is pretty much one build - it serves solo for sure, but its not the best - same with most classes I guess.- Do you enjoy playing as an assassin? and why? - Do you enjoy playing as an assassin? and why?I love it, single targets go down so fast, and whilst stealth is largly useless in instances it does have it uses- there is no other class I would rather play.- What role dose the Assassin have in groups/raids?Basicaly, we offer nothing more to offer other than dps - we end up at 70 with two single target group buffs - aggro transfer and apply poison- Can Assassins solo "okay"?Topic has been done to death, we get by, we are not the worst but far from the best. - Is the Assassin an popular class?Not sure about this one, I guess, if you dont raid there is little to do when you are all legendary from KoS, and then there is probably not as much to do as other classes. Maybe... there is a census somewhere that i can not remember the adrs for...- Why should i play as an Assassin?Thats up to you- Which class on the good side is the "same" as the Assassin?There is no class that is the same as assassin really, our brother rangers are of the same archtype but much more different - range damage, passivly create less hate, There is only one 1 primary mellee damage dealer and on fights without alot of stunning AE thats us... and not brigands...All this is just my opinion - a biased view of someone who likes the class regardless of any flaws I might *think* we have... stabbies ftw<div></div>
