Quick weapon question..

I've always been prone to use whatever weapon has the higher rating as my primary dual-wield weapon, and if they were too close, or procs came into factor, the tie breaker would be whichever I had a higher rating with (piercing or slashing). My question is, now that I've gone down the STR AA line and I have Bladed Opening, should I switch my weapons so that I can use it? My weapons are as follows:Dirk of Negativity (primary)63.7 rating, 1.9 delay, Dagger/PiercingOblivion's Edge60.2 rating, 1.6 delay, Sword/SlashingPiercing: 390/390Slashing: 387/387Attack: 1425 (self buffed)Thanks for any advice.

In old eq the faster weapon should always be in the primary, not sure how it works in eq2 though.

<DIV>Since poisons only proc off the main hand, and have a better chance to proc on a longer delay weapon,  slap the Dirk of Negativity in there. </DIV>

Bladed Opening isnt worth the loss of your poison procs. Stick with dirk in the Main slot.

Im really baffled at why should posion proc more off a slower weapon?I have always been under the impression, like the posion says - it will proc @ 25% of hits and if your hitting faster it will proc more!I did do a few tests a while back with the Fang (1.0sec dealy) and the Grizzle (1.6sec delay) and im sure the results did favor the faster weapon for poison procs.Can someone explain or backup with how this works, thanks. As I have always had a faster wepon in main hand and could be loosing valuable dps!!!<div></div>

<DIV>no its not a 25% chance to crit every swing...its a 25% chance to crit over 3 seconds....so basically the slower weapon will proc in less swings...meaning that your first atack with have more of a chance of proc....also meaning that the missed auto atacks with faster weapons will add to the proc diferential <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BTW the new haste cap will make slow weapons even better....and the added crit% bonuses that seems to be coming with EoF large ratio FTW....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>GDoH....why you torture me without droping lol</DIV>
