<DIV>Get that uber DPS I see people boast about in these here forums? I mean I have decent equipment for a non raiding person. But mys DPS is just above 800... I do get the 1200 or 1500 in a 30 second fight but when it comes to fights that will last longer then 2 minutes it drops to around 500-600. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I tried both grandmaster poisons and poison debuff... maxed out STR and AGI... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Only time I can do the uber DPS is when some one name their pet Jiali...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What am I doing wrong?</DIV>

<DIV>You said that you were a non-raider?  That might have a bit to do with it. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Most people posting their DPS numbers are doing so from a raid group, where you have the benefit of other DPS or haste boosting buffs, other damage procs, your Mark line is constantly being triggered, etc etc.  It isn't just about you, but also about the people that you have around you in your group. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just my $0.02, but if your regular group isn't set up like a raid dps group, that would explain a lot of what you are missing. </DIV>

<P>DANG, I was not expecting so many answers in such a short time... to answer some of the questions:</P> <P>I dont raid exept for the ocassional labs run wiht my guildies. I do group a lot though.</P> <P>equipment is as follow;  Chest and feet are still xegonite. legs is Tygrin's Legginsgs, Nemesis chain gloves, Awakened bloodscale Wristgards, Darkscale pauldron and Hoolo's Cowl... Vornerous Madstone, earing wrist, and fingers is acrylia... belt is Adjutants belt. my weapons are a shortsword and GrizzFazzle's dirk.. AA I went STR and right now working on the last part of Int... still missing 3 points to get Intoxication... </P> <P>I asked here because most assassins that I havve grouped with just ignore me when I ask them if I may ask a few questions about their high DPS... seems they just want to give away their secrets.</P> <P> </P> <P>AS a non raider what should my DPS be? What gear should I aim for? any help is much apreciated <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P> <P>PS: My CA's are adept 3 with the exaption of Deadly wound and flowing wound that are master 1...</P> <P> </P><p>Message Edited by TwoFour on <span class=date_text>10-09-2006</span> <span class=time_text>01:07 PM</span>

The right group or raid force to back you up seriously helps, too.  All except 4 of my CAs are M1 or Ad3, I do have some good raiding gear, I'm nearly at 40 AA points, and yet still I often have trouble getting to those really good DPS parses because no-one in the group can debuff the mob.  Good debuffers make the difference between a 13k decapitate and a 24k decapitate, for the big obvious numbers, and everything else as well.I'm up against a big DPS wall too, but in my situation I know it's because I don't have the ideal combination of classes to work with.  On the rare occasion when I do have the ideal combination to work with, I love watching the numbers get bigger and bigger, hehe.<div></div>

<div></div>Gear is pretty important. When I first started raiding I was parsing maybe 600-800 on avg. with a Brigand. Now I rarely parse below 1k and sometimes(rarely) above 2k w/o one. Debuffs and group set up do wonders for your DPS, as well as having AD3/M1 spells and decent weapons. If you have the money you might wanna buy velium DW weapons that you can find on the broker(atleast on Kithicor). Relic runs for lab's gear is a good way to get some decent armor for non-raiders. You can buy potions to boost STR or INT (depending on what you're lacking) to help raise the DPS a bit as well. Other than all of that it's all about how well you play your class and which AA's you have. <div></div><p>Message Edited by t0gar on <span class=date_text>10-09-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:45 PM</span>
