<div></div>I don't know if anyone noticed but on ogaming is an article on a tour of Faydwer.  Third paragraph caught my attention:<span>Meeting up with our guide, the first thing I noticed was his armor. It was an entirely new graphic that I had never seen before. After a quick inspection, I confirmed my suspicions that what I was looking at was one of the new armor sets to be found in the expansion. Any of you that have played World of Warcraft will be familiar with the concept. You have a number of items in the set, in this case six, and the inspection window for the items displays which parts of the set you are currently wearing and how many items you need to trigger each of the set bonuses. For example, in the case of the Ranger / Assassin set I was looking at, when you owned half the set, you got a +1% to your melee and ranged attack crit chance, and with a full set you also got a reduction to all of your recast times.Article is <a href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/data/4224%7EFaydwertour.php" target="_blank">Here</a></span><div></div>

<DIV>Did you ask the guide about her/his armor?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Last time I saw the armor (last week) it appeared to be Guide only.   It seems like they (SOE) have made additions to the guide (volunteer) equipment.  I don't <U><STRONG>think</STRONG></U> this is a view into new armor for EoF.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I don't have any screenshots or anything.  But the armor looks cool.  Now if i can only catch one of the Guide events....my luck is horrible.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>*shrug*</DIV>

<div></div>You do realize that all I did was quote an article that I found on ogaming right?  I was just pointing out that there was an article on ogaming that had something about Assassin gear.  So to answer your first question: I could not ask the Guide becuase: I was not there, I did not see this myself, and I do not have beta access. However, the guy who DID write the article that I linked had something to say: <span>It was elaborated on briefly that there would be different sets for each class type, and that the armor type and the player alignment would determine which culture the armor was from. For example, the chain for Rangers is associated with Tunare and one could conclude, the Rangers of Kelethin. The plate was mentioned to hail from Kaladim, and while the origins of the cloth and leather were not mentioned, it’s not terribly hard to guess the pedigree. The items themselves were Legendary in quality with a minimum level of 67, so one could hope that they are quested or at least not dropped from major raid bosses. It would be nice for us all to have a shot at them.By the way, the ONLY items ingame that only a few people can EVER get are the mythical items, and those are 1 per server.  At least as far as I know, because everything but mythical can be crafted/quested or dropped.Personally, I'm just glad that SOE seems to be taking the armor set bonuses somewhat seriously, and not:We are going to make people raid for 5 months just to finish the set, and then.... when they put the last piece on, they get the UBER cool effect of glow in the dark armor!  Isn't it great?!!?  Everburning torch armor!  Its neato keen! <div></div></span>

The only guide i've ever seen was a lvl 32 or 33 on newbie isle wearing only a GM robe, so I have no clue what guide armor is /shrug.I've seen a few GMs and they all wear the same armor..... and they speed HAXXOR.  A GM came into living tombs once to answer a petition from one from my guildmates who was in my group.  The tank wouldn't stop pulling so the GM froze the tank then gave out milk and cookies to each of us... good times.<div></div>
