Assassin: higher(est) dps, decent soloers but excellent in groups. fun to play, alot of backstabbing and stealth involved. also on raids a little more work to get the dps in, especially on mobs that have AEs. hate is fairly easy to manage in a variety of ways. Brigand: medium-high dps, also decent soloers with a stun or two more than assassin. brings dps/HUGE debuffs to groups and raids. also fun to play with a little less backstabbing and invis, but with the same melee concept. easier to play on raids with the avoid AE combat art, but with a little more trouble with hate.

i played a rogue up to lvl 52 on EQ 1 and enjoyed it.... who would copmpare best in EQ 2 ??

im looking for something that takes some skill to play not just auto attack and a few hot keys ya know ??

how is poison in EQ 2 ?? in EQ 1 you had to apply it which took a while so it was hard to do in the middle of combat...

well i didn't play eq1 so coudlnt' give you a real answer there, but i know that the scout class in general is the most fun to play. backstabs, movement is essential in combat, stealth, tracking, evac, poisons, deaggro, as for poisons its like a 3-4? sec cast, so not something you'd like to do in combat, but possible nevertheless.
