<DIV>Has a any assassin completed the 2 trials of the third floor? I tried them several times without success, never more than 85 terracotas. They resists a lot of my attacks and CA, even if they are mostly masters. How did you manage to kill the required 100 terracotas?</DIV>

<div></div>I find that having a good high dmg bow, with good arrows and grandmaster caustic poison works wonders. And of course use kb and decap whenever they are up. They are all solo mobs so doing a ranged combo to pull would knock them down to the orange before they even hit you. That and having food and drink and those claymore charm items that give you power and health back. I think the most i got was around 120. This is making my want to try again to see if i can beat my record<div></div>

I have the firanvious bite (78.x rate) and the [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] terracotas still resist many of my shots. I use grandmaster caustic too. I use all CA's when they are up and use best available food and drinks. But whatever I try, it is rare the combat in which I don't see 3 or 4 "Resist". Am I so clumsy and dumb? my record is 85.

<div></div>For both of the trials, I struggled endlessly for days using the usual assassins soloing tactics of defensive stance, archery, etc. To complete it, I found that my only chance was to go in Offensive stance, for the piercing/slashing buff to vastly improve my accuracy and lower their ability to defend against my attacks. That, with vitality breech and a fine drink, cutting through as fast as I can, stealthing only when I'm ready, I managed to complete both trials with a few seconds to spareSo it can be done..good luck!<div></div><p>Message Edited by CyriexVTZ on <span class=date_text>09-04-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:10 AM</span>

<P>the trials are super easy, just get a bow. the rooms where there are like 12 in a row. first one assailing. 2nd spitting 3rd neck. 4th backstab and repeat. the autoattack alone gets them over half dead. my only problem is find the last few remaining. though i usually have about 8 mins left to run around.</P> <P>the frivanious bow isnt very good. the ghostly bow from coin operation is 100 times better will you get recurved or the one from vene</P>

take grandmasters vitality breach and off stance, this will work quite good as well.<div></div>

I probably missed that reward.</P> <P>I managed to finish the 2 trials finally. The problem was I was not doing the shortest route to kill the 100 terracotas.</P>

the one where you have to put the shards in the bucket to win, the best way is to start at the bottom and work up to the top. once you get all 100 you should be on the dragon head so you can jump the 100m to where the pot is. safe fall is handy if you find you are short on time.

i certainly wouldn't use caustic poison. dmg is not a problem in these trials. i would combine a totem of the carnivorous plant (health regen) with mental breech.for the kill 100 trial. make sure you know where all 100 are. the last one i found is the one that is up the ramp which in forgotten city goes from the library to the entrance. he's hidden behind a pillar in the first room you come to. then spend at least one time just running the path that you will use to get to the 100. also the mobs have very few hitpoints, so you can speed up the killing using cloaked assault and pulling 4 at a time in the rooms with lots of mobs. then it will be a piece of cake.i never had any trouble with the collect shards one so not sure what to recommend there other than the totem / poison combination i mentioned above.<div></div>
