ello out there!i was wondering if it makes a huge difference in dps if i go just for one type of dw weapons (eg. only wearing pierce)reason why im thinking about it are the plus stats on some items (eg claymore +slash).i think it is better to have like +20 pierce and wearing two piercer instead of having +10 pierce +10 slash and wearing one piercer and one slasher, isnt it? but how big is the difference in there.hope yall understand me, my english isnt that bad but my german is much better (well, i add an E in my sig, so the word assassine is german the rest english ) denglish ftw!best wishes

+ skill mods are largely worthless. choose weapons based on the quality of the weapon not the + skill mods.

/nod... yup. take for example if i swap in a grizzfazzle dirk for my Absolution, i lose attack rating by like 6 or 7. i forgot offhand. point being, that the legendary has like 27 str AND +6 pierce, and my fabled dagger with 22str and no +pierce beats it by a pretty good margin.

yabo!

ok, my example with claymore was a bad one i mean, i wouldnt swich back to grizzle too, but theres gear out there with those skill mods.so if theres for example a bracelet with 30str/sta/agi 100hp/mana 500 resi on all but melee and a braclet with 28sta/sta/agi 100hp/mana 500resi on all but melee and +6 pierce, which one would you go for? hope thats a better one and if they're almost useless why are they in the game? they werent there in the beginning.best wishes from germany, we have angela merkel! wanna have her?

You will need both. Some raid mobs are still immune to slash, or pierce.I remember in some LU SOE stated that mob will no longer be immune to certain type of attack. LIES.
Message Edited by judged_one on 08-28-2006 07:27 AM

Now... forgive my ignorance given that i've not tested these and only glanced at them... But doesnt the Giant Blunted Dirk havn a crush damage type attached to it? Granted the crush ability might go out the door due to our combat arts, but I think that standard auto-melee would work outputting crush damage in this circumstance.

... or maybe... i'm just talking out my rear and should be slapped.
