I (like the majority of most assassins) am Str/Int AA.I was just wondering if anyone ever went far enough down the Stam line to get the ability where you had the chance to strike more than one mob with a hit. I was wondering how often it would proc and how it would affect dps overall (in an end game group/raid environment). <div></div>

I thought about it, as it might increase dps on groups... however, groups of trash mobs aren't really worth decreasing my single target dps, because boss fights are really the only fights I really care about... trash mobs are usually dead so fast that I don't even bother maxing my dps on them.I didn't try the stam line though, so I might be wrong... but that's why I didn't try it.<div></div>

Really never saw the point. Between cloacked and slaughtersault I already parse high enough in aoe fights that the hit to single target dps from giving up anything from str or int lines just couldn't possibly be worth it.

<DIV>I myself havent tested Surrounding attacks in Sta line, a friend of mine did test it one night in Lyceum , a day before we got a free respec.....after seein the parses he posted while testin it out..not worth it AT ALL, AE dps went up quite a bit, but single target DPS decreased a lot ( he replaced Int) woudlnt be worth it imo seeing almost every named encounter itd be useless on. But hey, if parsing high on AE junk mobs is your thing, go for it :smileytongue:</DIV>

<P> Anarke tested it a while back. He gave me some general info, and it was that he did 200-300 less dps overrall in a raid instance. Although he had tons more HP, and decent AE dps (the max % on Hurricane type skill wasn't that high) it didn't make up for the loss of Melee crits and Perfectionist or the spell crits.</P> <P>If they gave us 70 AA points instead of 50, those 20 would be injected into that STA line because the added HP is great, plus the AE skill is pretty nice.</P><p>Message Edited by Dragonsviperz on <span class=date_text>08-10-2006</span> <span class=time_text>03:57 AM</span>
