With the Obfuscation AA maxed out with 8 ranks I hear it makes our stealth ability become instant cast. Will this allow players when soloing or have agro to push the stealth button, then instantly use a CA that requires stealth? I do that allot now, but i kinda have to time the monsters attacks before i start casting stealth so i dont get hit before i can use a CA.If it makes stealth instant and allows for a very fast "stealth required" CA this AA will be awesome! =)

It does not. I have maxed this out in the past (out of curiousity), and at 8 ranks it cuts the times in half. Not worth it in the least bit.

Thats unfortunate =(... I have been trying to get to know my Assassin better but I have been having a hard time juggling the amount of posistional attacks in my arsenal. Granted I havent been playing long and all of this play has been solo. The trouble is, allot of times when i stun monsters etc, its hard to tell if it was resisted or not due to the games rather laggy and buggy combat feedback. I can hardly call it real-time combat as well over 1/2 the attack animations for both the Player and NPC are never attacked out. Maybe I just need more practice at it. I assume in a group though with a solid tank my job will be realatively easy.

(lvl 14) But what I tend to do is after I try to stun the monster I am fighting I will go ahead and try to get into a flanking position to use a move. What this does is allow you to get in place to do your move and if the stun was resisted then it didnt cost you much. This works for me right now, but I am only lvl 14 and still have a long ways to go.

The game doesn't feel like button mashing. You actually have to be positionally aware of combat. There is more feel for tactics there.

Voliere wrote:The trouble is, allot of times when i stun monsters etc, its hard to tell if it was resisted or not due to the games rather laggy and buggy combat feedback.

Well, if you are reading your combat log, you aren't aware of your surroundings, so you are going to do more harm than good by getting in that habit. That said, there are two ways to tell. For stuns, the "tweet tweet" sound that accompanies the stun will start playing but stop abruptly about a quarter second in to the sound. Second, for all attacks, including the stun, there is a dull thud that accompanies the sound of striking the mob to tell you that it was resisted or something else. If it was outright resisted, the words "RESIST" usually pop up also.

Voliere wrote:Maybe I just need more practice at it. I assume in a group though with a solid tank my job will be realatively easy.

More practice will help and once you start grouping, a tank is the number on tool in your arsenal. Cast shadows on them, make sure to use your de-taunts and the proceed to fillet the mob ever so delicately with the finely honed edge of your weapon, peeling back the layers of skin and exposing the sweet sweet delicately fragile organs underneath. So that you can skewer them and serve them cold to their host.Err, I mean, yeah, tanks rock.

I'm a new Assassin as well (level 24), but I've found the use of macros to be indispensible. I have one for a frontal stealth chain (which I use after Vex), and one for a rear stealth chain.

This thread: http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=40&message.id=15143 was very helpful.
