<DIV>Okay while I am on a roll asking questions probably well known to you guys (and gals) I may as well get this one out the way.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My background is as a Necromancer main with a now 67 Assassin alt. So although I am newer to melee than casting I don't consider myself a total novice. That doesn't mean I think I still don't have a lot to learn hence my asking questions of the community.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have noticed that mobs flagged as Assassins seem to be able to do our CA's without the positional requirement. For example an Assassin flagged Droag in the Bonemire yesterday hit me with Cripple yet was facing me the time. <FONT color=#ffff00>Now I knew mobs didn't need to enter stealth to do our stealth CA's, but are the positional requirements gone as well ?</FONT> I noticed that this is probably an extension of mobs with bows that use ranged CA's in melee.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I presume this is for mob vs player balance but its not nice that a mob can flail away with our own ca's yet if you try and respond you get warning after warning.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yes I did use the search first, but didn't find anything that confirmed one way or another.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sark on behalf of Slaene.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edited to highlight the question in my ramblings as Skratch pointed out i might not be all that clear.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Sarkoris on <span class=date_text>07-26-2006</span> <span class=time_text>03:06 PM</span>

What's your question? If mobs cheat and don't have CA requirements like we do? Yes, they cheat lol No stealth or positions required.

<P>Yup - that was my question. It also seems to me that mobs only use the mid level CA's - such as the cripple etc I mentioned above. Do the mobs not use the massive CA's such as Assassinate and Decapitate (or have I just been lucky and my pet has copped them in my stead). I was thinking a level 50 Assassin flagged mob would be able to one hit most player characters if they Assassinated for 10-12k (mitigation not withstanding).</P> <P>Sark on behalf of Slaene.</P>

I don't see a lot of assassin mobs, but I'd imagine they'd have it too, brigand mobs (raid mobs in particular) have Debilitate I know. Back in T5 some mobs had Ice Comet

<DIV>Just be glad they dont use Decapitate from the frontal position.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

I can't recall any mobs using assassinate/decapitate or rain of arrows/sniper shot. There are a few ranger mobs out there, and they ignore distance requirements as well and are allowed to use bow arts at point blank range. Hmmm, no harmtouch from mobs either that I can think of, I'm tempted to say that they aren't skills that mobs are given. Ice comet I can only recall raid mobs and a few named mobs using, the carpet quest guy in Maj'dul in particular. <div></div>

The mobs in the first part of Deathtoll use Rain of Arrows on unsuspecting adventurers! Droag rangers!

Haha, true enough, but the rain of arrows they use is actually a ground trap of sorts. Oddly enough, if you look at the parses to see the skills they use they use Bleed, Quick Strike, Paralysing Strike, Insidious Cut, Cripple, Shadow Blade, Slaughter, Finishing Blow.... see even the Fleshstripped Bowmen have betrayed to assassin. Figured you'd get a kick out of that. <div></div>

<DIV>From memory the spectres in Sinking Sands use a Harm Touch of sorts.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But thanks for answering my question guys. Don't bother trying to keep an Assassin (or any scout) flagged mob in front of you. It won't make any difference to what attacks they use is the feedback Im getting.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sark on behlaf of Slaene.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

dorn b'dynn along the ring of fate quest used deathly blade i believe. i think he typically opened with it and would one shot casters / priests regularly.<div></div>

Actually.......remember those plants in TT next to the temple grounds river??? when charmed by a trouby friend they 1 hit most enemies they engaged (even PC in duels hahaha), thats why they are no longer charmable...those are assassin plants so probably they were assassinating (or using DB)<div></div>
