<DIV>Hi all</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The temptation of alt creation has bested me yet again and I am now running around Freeport with my new Ogre Assassin.  Lvl 16 atm and so far loving the play style.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just a quick question.  How do we compare throughout the levels to Wizards for single target damage? I love the high numbers and burst damage and I know that Wizards can throw out big numbers with Ice Comet and the like.  I also play a Warlock and love to see the big crits popping up.... i think we compare very well .. i regularly parse right there with Wizards on raids.. and i'm not even 70 yet... and dont even have any adept III's .. just a few masters.<div></div>

they vary.. they go from about 1200-6000 .. depending on what ones i use.. like i said.. a few masters.. rest adept 1 .. and i dont have my big hitter yet.<div></div>

<P>I tell u what, I am a new player too and at 17 a few days back , I teamed up with a wizard, we where figthing in the commonlands and the wizard was one shotting things dead..one spell mob die....where as i had to fight it,,,a min or so using my speicals stun get behind the whole thing.</P> <P>So at 17 you dont compare to a wizard.....they one shot things of the same level all day long and u have to put effort into it and have a long fight.</P> <P>I think people who are saying we compare well are looking at their level and situation and not looking at it from a level 17 point of view.</P> <P>I am assuming, as you level things balance out more and more, from what I have read, but no sorry you dont touch a wiz at level 17.</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>I cant speak about how assassins compare throughout the levels, because i was only here for 70; (recently betrayed ranger) But as far as crits and dps... we own.   Wizards can do some nice dps, but they can be limited on short fights due to long cast and recast timers on thier ca`s.  Our biggest attack is on a 10-15 min recast timer depending on if you have the aa that reduces it or not.  So you won`t get those big "booms" constantly, but we do we have enough smaller attacks and dots to make us pretty much the top dps class on single target mobs.</DIV>
