Hey all,I'm returning from another hiatus away (Oblivion came out), and am wondering if you can give me your opinion on something. I've usually played fighter types. My main in EQ1 was a Monk and so far I've raised a Zerker to 36 and a Monk to 30 here in EQ2.However, I'm interested in trying out the Scout class, but am having a tough time deciding which subclass to pick. I've narrowed it down to the Brigand or the Assassin. Between these two which would you recommend? Is the Brigand the better soloer? Is the life of an Assassin spent beween grouping and looking for a group I like the idea of being tier 1 in DPS, but don't want to be relegated to a group only. On the flip side, is it easier to get a group being an Assassin? What's it like as an Assassin?Basically, I'm after a class with most of the survivability of the fighter (so I can solo when I want), but with improved dps and utility (so I can group when I want). I'm a bit tired of being the MT.Anyway, any tips you could give would be appreciated. Can I find these answers by just searching the boards? I couldn't find a basic FAQ.Thanks in advance,Senn
Message Edited by SennSei on 05-29-2006 04:57 PM
Message Edited by SennSei on 05-29-2006 05:03 PM

I played a Brigand to 59 and have a 30 Assasin, the Brigand was much more fun for some reason.

What's so hard about soloing an Assassin? It may be more challenging (i.e. you need to push a few more buttons in a certain order) but the payoff is worth it isn't it? Big damage. Yum.

Hey all,Thanks for the replies! I've decided to try out the Brigand due to greater versatility and soloability. Seems perfect for playing by one's self as well as a party. So far, I like what I've seen! Now, to pick the best race combo (I know, race doesn't matter). Thanks again all!Senn
