I recently upgraded my FBSS for an item that gave 17 to STR and AGI. Will the loss of 15% haste be worth the bump in stats? Are there any decent t7 haste items?<div></div>

gaining 9 str and agi is a poor tradeoff for 15% haste in my opinion. there are way too few haste items in the game. the best upgrade to the fbss that is generally available is b'dynn's sash of speed which is 22% haste although only +5 str +5 agility.that said, it's a pain to get. you basically have to be on a certain step in the ring of fate quest and then in order to have a reasonable chance at it you need to make sure you don't get the update while in the instance zone where dorn spawns.other than that, there is a 23% haste item which can be worn in either the wrist or neck slot which is given to you if you complete deathtoll access.<div></div>

<P>well it has been my experience that haste really isnt that important. now dont get me wrong it is nice to have but it does not really increase dps that much ( especially 15%). maybe you increase dps by 100 with the haste item. but you have to look at the whole picture too. you are ganing great stats with the new belt, and maybe better resists. and unless you have your stats capped go for the str since it will also make you hit harder. in all reality neither the 15% haste nor the 17 str will make a noticible difference in the dps you do. now if you have procing weapons people will say that the haste will make your dps go up from increased attack spped and procing the weapons more, well to be honest yes and no. sure mathmatically you will hit faster giving you a better chance tp proc weapons but in reality you are talking about such a small increase in total attack speed that you will not even notice it.</P> <P>Is there a ratio to how much STR will increase your DPS compared to haste? i dont know but i am sure there is somewhere. IMO the trade off for the fbss is worth it. take the new belt.</P> <P>as for haste items in T7 the amulet of the forsworn ( DT access reward) is like 23% haste and has kick butt states. i am not in a hurry to replace mine. Also you have the lightning rings of speed, i think thats right. dropps of cyandros (sp ) the 2x dragon in sanctum of scaleborn. they are decent chain pants with around 350 mitigation and 25% haste</P>

In T7, there's also a belt that drops off of Hurricanus with +20 to STR AGI STA and 23% haste, and a neck/wrist slot that drops from Tarinax with 22% haste and +15 to all stats. It's too bad item haste doesn't stack or I'd have 68% just from those and the Deathtoll one :smileyhappy: As for your belt, I always tried to have at least one haste item equipped... unless you're hitting the haste cap when your grouped/raiding, I'd try to do that as well, stats are easier to cap than haste imo<p>Message Edited by MystaSkratch on <span class=date_text>05-24-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:38 PM</span>

<DIV>OK i tested this tonight we were killing some green epics in silent city to get eyes for back flagging alts for godking. the test subject were the gollums. I killed 10 of them using only auto attack. 5 of which i wore a 25% haste item and 5 with 0 % haste.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i averaged 750-800 dps with only auto atack with 25% haste.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I averaged 650-710 dps with only auto attack with 0% haste.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i got my haste up to 85% and using only auto attack had a dos of 885 dps</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>so there are some numbers for you. its nothing conclusive but it will give you some sort of idea how much haste will increase your dps.</DIV>
