Err, 1ce every 5 minutes?

The Duration of the Effect (ability to proc instantly on hit) is 2 minutes.

The Recast is 2 minutes.

Erego, you can easily use this ability twice in a battle by keeping it up & ready before the battle (usually on Raid Nameds), and then activating it again when it's ready mid-battle.

These are some pretty nice boosts to DPS through this ability, but I'm wondering if I'd get more total DPS by putting the 8 points into Criticals from both STR and INT line. That gives a 14% Melee Crit Chance, and a 52% DoT / Poison crit chance. That's pretty impressive.

-Hadanelith Raswrolski, 70 Assassin of Kithicor

i'm pretty certain it can't be cast during battle. i mean you're allowed to cast it but you don't get the buff when you do. i was playing around with this tonite. i'll check it out again in more detail tomorrow and post again.

It would be very odd if you couldn't. I don't recall it being listed as "must be cast out of combat" but I'll read it again.

You're 100% certain that it wasn't taking but then immediately firing? It is guaranteed to activate on first hit afterall.

If you can't use it mid-combat that's fairly disappointing as you can't get multiple uses out of a single battle but... I guess you can deal with that if you need to.

-Hadanelith Raswrolski, 70 Assassin of Kithicor

quick facts about intoxication1. it can be recast during battle but the casting time is rough2. it can crit and if it does all ticks crit3. if it does not crit it's about 3k dmg4. if it does crit it's about 4-4,500 dmg5. the blurred vision does work in duels on pve servers but the guy i cast it on says it really wasn't all that distracting

Zeroue used it on me during a duel, was some what confusing, but I could still tell it was him because he was the only idiot running around =P. But what do you guys think, Perfect or Intox if you had to chose one. Also, anyone know if this stacks with another Intox, because my slackass ranger is supposed to be getting this skill sometime soon.

i prefer intoxication obviously since i took it but i haven't used my free respec yet so i figured i'd play with it and see what i found out. another assassin in my guild has it so i'll test if it stacks and repost. which is more dps depends on the length of the fight. in a fight that's under 2 minutes, intoxication wins, if the fight is 2-1/2 minutes perfectionist, 3 -1/2 minutes intoxication again and it flips back and forth. the having to reapply it before every fight is a bit much to remember and casting it midfight is a drag because of casting time. it's nice for soloing that mob that's a bit on the tough side for you also if you care about that sort of thing. i don't think either one is an obvious choice though.

Mark crits seemingly 95% of the time. As for perfec or intox Ive been flip flopping between them and havent seen to much noticable difference either way with raid names parces. Currently perfec cause im lazy and like it being passive lol.

in the spirit of true irritation... IT DOESN"T STACK yes you too can spend 8 points on a depth 5 achievement that procs immediately only to find out it does only one tick of dmg because the guy next to you also has it. i tested this numerous times to be sure i was correct as i couldn't believe a depth 5 achievement could be this lame and sure enough, the 2nd one overwrites the first and you won't tick again. i'll be /bug 'ing and /feedback ' ing this. if you have the ability please join me. welcome back to the days of initial launch when two assassin's in a raid was welcome to "WOULD NOT TAKE EFFECT" so lame.

I believe they recently patched this (or have a patch coming... pretty sure it's in though) so that multiple Intoxications stack. At least from different casters >

Thanks to the Devs who decided to be kind on that, and not waste an Ability.

-Hadanelith Raswrolski, 70 Assassin of Kithicor

PS: Thanks for the data Graton, haven't checked this post in a while. Regardless I'm probably sticking with Perfectionist... matter of personal preferance. I don't Duel much.
