<div>Now that the famous LU13 has been in effect for quite some time, the proc nerf has settled in and now that AAs are a thing of the current, how do assassin's rank in DPS?  I know there is usually always some debate about what class is the best DPS etc, but I'm not looking for a 'I'm the biggest and baddest' comparisson.  I currently have a top end tank and am looking for a straight up DPS alt.  The concept behind the assassin sounds neat, but I'm just wanting to make sure I won't be overly dissappointed if give it a whirl and find no meat with the potatoes.</div><div> </div><div>Feedback?</div><div> </div><div>Thanks in advance for your time!</div><div>Laer</div>

I'm guessing you're looking at melee dps since you're here on the assassin forums?<div></div>As far as I can tell, assassin's are up there damage wise.  I've got both a swashy and an assassin and my assassin regularly out dps my swashy.  Although neither are very far along their AA paths. That being said, the rogues currently have an AA path (the wis line) where they get a chance to double proc attacks and these attacks are also procing poison/spell procs which is pumping up their dps numbers, but this is really for rogues who sink 20+ AA points into a single line. But as you say, you will definatly enjoy your meat.

Summoners are still on a tier of there own, assassins are doing great for t1 dps - but still need tweaking for there ranged IMO - wizards are where rangers are with dps, both classes need work - wizards should be geared similarly to warlocks and keep there single target stuff like icecommet. Swashy's and brigands can usually lap many rangers/wizards out there. And monks can get pretty close to wizard/ranger dps.To my own results knowledge and parsings, sony has only gotten 1/2 the t1 dps classes right.
