This might belong in the Newbie Yard but since it's more specifically an Assassin question, I figured I'd post it here.I'm new to EQ2 so some of the choices I'm forced to make, such as the choice of my level 10 racial bonus, are a bit overwhelming at this stage in the game. I understand the bonuses they will grant me and all, but I'm just not sure which is the best choice for an Assassin.I was hoping you guys could give me some advice - I was thinking either the Agility bonus or the increased Power pool?<div></div>

<div></div>I would say agility first.  Agility and Strength are your most important stats.

<div></div>The racial bonuses aren't so important that it matters too much which you choose. Eventually you will probably pick up all the ones you want anyways and still be able to get a few more.

Pick STR over AGI all the waySTR is our REAL primary stat and controls how much damage you do when you hit, you get so many AGI buffs and pretty much any scout gear comes with some AGI on it that it's really easy to get your AGI up in other ways<div></div>

I think you can take the agility one first en next time the mana pool <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

Str  is not our "real" primary stat, they both need to be high and at lvl 10 I would take agi cause I remember how bad running out of power was at that lvl.  I wouldt stress much over it though, its all about gear and you will get all the stats you want sooner or later.<div></div>

<div></div><p>For dealing damage until you get to the point where you no longer run out of power, and at low levels that is a lot harder to get to, then AGI always trumps STR. If you can't use CAs because you are out of power, then your damage is just going to drop. Won't be completely terrible, but it will be far below what you could be doing.</p><p>Also high level Assassin gear has lots of built in AGI, low level generally does not. Applying the same logic of equipping a level 60+ does not work for someone at level 10. Crafted gear has a smattering of stats and quested gear can be pretty random, there is the AQ stuff, but that is just level 20-30 really where you have a set of armor specifically designed for your class.</p>

Thanks alot guys. I appreciate the replies.I took strength as my very first choice (level 5 or so I think), so I guess I'll take agility this time and have a bonus to both stats that are important for me. I didn't know I could choose more of these same bonuses later on or I may not have worried so much, but from what I understand here I'll be able to. Sounds good!<div></div>

Scratch I completely agree with you end game wise, dealing max dps, surviving messed ae calls ect, I was simply thinking as a lvl 10 point of view as how fast you run out of power grouping.<div></div>

<div></div>Yea at lower levels I suppose power > all, I think I'm just bitter cuz we get stuck with lame AGI buffs when other (lower tier dps) scouts *cough* rogues *cough* get STR buffs!

I'm a 70 dark elf assassin...were talking about class buffs, and assassins get zero str buffs.  All we get as dark elves are miscelaneous race trait str increases so race really isnt the issue.<div></div>
