<div><font size="4" color="#66ff00">    Ok, so there I am, I spot my target usually open up with a range attacked and then go to town.  The creature in question is any mob from green to yellow with one ^ up.  I start smaking him around and descide its time to inflict some pain.. Bam, (cheap shot) now he's gonna get it...Bam (Shrouded strike), oh yeah stealth time, no I just need to....OH wait, he isnt stunned?  sweet mercy, he's beating the crap out of me...EVAC!</font></div><div><font size="4" color="#66ff00"></font> </div><div><font size="4" color="#66ff00">    Ok, so I may have over dramatized that a bit, but generally thats what happens. Now, if the creature doesnt have an arrow up it allways works.. I cheapshot, shrouded strike, and fade to stealth thus being able to use a high damge stealth attack.  What i dont understand is why with mobs with one arrow up , that it fails each and every time..I start going into stealth only to have the mob suddenly turn on me.  They can be green, blue, white, doesnt matter..Its so frustrating that I actually put my assassin on hold and leveled my SK up to and past my assassin..  I could really use some help here folks, I truely love my assassin and hate to see her sitting on the sidelines watching the game.</font></div>

Take a look at your cheap shot examine info.  It shows you the problem right there.  Basically as you've noticed, on normal no-arrow solo mobs cheap shot lasts the full six second duration regardless of anything. But on ^ mobs there is a chance to break stun every time the mob is damaged (including DOT damage and poison damage).  So your stun breaks almost as soon as it lands.  On heroics the max stun duration is 2 seconds and it will break when the mob is damaged. On the ^ mobs you need to make sure you have no DOTs running, then cast cheap shot and turn attack off while stun is casting.  Because stun will break on damaging the mob you can't use shrouded strike to get into stealth which is a pain.  You have to use either shadow or stealth (1 and 2 second cast respectively) & then you can normally do one stealth attack & then stun breaks. So the ^ mobs are a lot harder.  At level 32 you will get Numbing Strike, which is your first root attack, and it's a big help in soloing the ^ mobs.  You can cast the root and back off as it's landing and you'll have time for a bow CA, maybe an autoattack bow shot or two and then you can use makeshift weapon as the mob is running towards you.Good luck!<div></div>

you can make a macro which hits cheap shot and then uses the surveil line. in this way you'll stun, stop attacking and immediately start casting stealth. You can strafe behind your opponent while stealth is casting and hope it lands in enough time so that you can unleash a stealth attack. this can work on ^'s and occasionally heroic ^'s but it's tough to get it all done in 2 seconds sometimes depending on lag and the like. as you get higher in lvl you will have a few other non-stealth options. there is the cripple / crippling strike line and finishing blow. i think the first cripple line is in the 30's maybe and finishing blow is 58. with these. i've combo cheap shot and finishing blow on named ^^^ heroics. because the cast times involved are cast and all you need do is strafe behind the opponent, it's much easier than trying to stealth.if you're not proficient at using the mouse to strafe i would suggest practicing that. i was abyssmal at it but it really only took me a week or so to get a nice feel for it.<div></div>
