<div>Lets face it, Eventually legendary t6 poisons will be gone and we will have to use the revamped crafted poisons.</div><div> </div><div>With that in mind I compared several dammage (red) t7 poisons for there usefulness in soloing.</div><div> </div><div>The three poisons I compared were</div><div>1.  direct dammage (about 440 dammage depending on int)</div><div>2.  dot poison (about 230 every 6 seconds, also depends on int)</div><div>3. life siphon (about 230 dammage and heals you for about 200)</div><div> </div><div>I initially thought the dot poison would be effective but... unlike the previous poison system where the dammage is delt instantly and every 6 secconds, the first burst of dammage from the new dots does not occure until 6 seconds after the mob has been poisoned.  :smileysad:  This means you have to wait 12 full seconds for the dot poison the hit the mob with 2 bursts of dammage.</div><div> </div><div>I found the most effective t7 poison (for soloing) by far to be the life siphon poison.  On average it procced 3-5 times a fight dealing a noticible amount of dammage to the mob and healing me for around 800 each fight!  I found when using this poison I could solo much faster and was limited by mana regen rather then by life regen (kinda a nice change).</div><div> </div><div>Because of the 6 second delay on the dot poison I am thinking that for groups the direct dammage poison may be the way to go, but I havent tested it much yet.</div><div> </div><div>FYI : I was fighting blue, white and yellow KoS ^ mobs and I did stack the dammage poisons with debuff and effect poisons as well.</div>

<div></div><p>Hey thats cool, didn't know there was a Siphon poison, have to get me some of those.  Most yellow ^ fights come pretty close and that healage would make all the difference.</p>

<div></div>I too have never heard of a siphon poison, if there is one whats the name.  Those would definately help with soloing.

<div></div>The life siphon poison is called vitality breach.

Unless this changed since Beta, the siphon (hp or mana) poisons are not DoTs and will hit exactly one time per proc. Comparatively, you'll be losing a considerable amount of damage as compared to a high DoT t7 poison for a small heal on every poison proc (which doesn't happen nearly as often anymore with our CAs).<div></div>

<div></div><p>The problem that I found with t7 dot poisons is that they do not seem to act like the t2-t6 dot poisons in that they do NO initial dammage and if the dot poison hits a second time in the fight you do NOT get an extra dammage proc but rather just extend the duration of the dot. </p><p>Again I only tested the t7 dot poison out for about 6 hours of play time (so some of my observations could indeed be wrong) but I was not immpressed.</p><p>Most of the SOLO fights i used the poisons with, lasted for about 40 seconds (just an estamate).  Lets assume that The auto range attack that goes off when you bow pull procs the dot poison all the time (in realy is more like ~65%) that means for the first 6 seconds no poison dammage is done then a total of 6 dot dammage waves would hit the mob before it died.  With each wave being about 230 dammage for a total of  ~1380 dammage.</p><p>Now considering the siphon poison on the same fight (lasting 40 seconds) would proc ~3 times it would deal about 690 dammage but also heal for about 600.  I would deal about half the poison dammage in the fight but the dammage loss was not nearly as noticable as the life gain.</p><p>So you are right in that the siphon poison only deals about half the dammage but in many <strong>soloing</strong> cases I personally found the life gain to outweigh the dammage loss.</p><p>Not trying to start an argument just stating my observations.</p><p>Again please keep in mind all my numbers are estamates.   </p>

Mileage will certainly vary, I'm generally of the opinion that since mobs will have auto-attack damage in excess of 600 damage, that this heal does essentially nothing to help me in solo play.<div></div>
