<div>I have read in several places on these forums that INT affects DoT and poison dmg, which makes sense now that I think about it. I previously did not know it.</div><div> </div><div>My question is what is the best way to go about balancing STR AGI and INT.  Previously I set up my assassin to be full STR cause my gear gives me so much AGI and I left out INT.  Fully self buffed I have roughly 250STR 280AGI and 35INT (lol).</div><div> </div><div>Does INT for scouts have the same cap as STR and how would I go about acquiring more INT without hurting my STR stat or my AGI for that matter.  The way poisons proc now the amount of damage they deal isn't the greatest, but I anticipate they will change it at some point.</div><div> </div><div>Raina</div><div>60 Assassin of the Horde</div><div>EverFrost</div>

<div></div><p>YOu know  my ranger half-bretheren and i were wondering about this in our guild forum</p><p>this is what we come up with so far (but its just me posting about a theoreticall max out on int)</p><p>InterestingAccording to your research every 12 int gives 3.6% moredmg (im calculating to the soft cap of 420 int)Soooo if at 100 int adlestes does =500 +70 (first tick dmg comes at contact too.....70 dmg per tick after that)on avd depending on mob imunity with no debuffs....(debuffed w snare and shissar i have seen procs in 711 range + tick)320/12x3.6 =96% gain in dmg =980 + 137 dmg poison procs PREE DEBUFF hmmmmm?? is this correct lolWith my snare + bite of the shissar (+ whatever other - poison debuffs from warlocks ect) we could be talking procs in the 1100-1200 dmg range lol...<img alt="Shocked" border="0" src="http://www.theraenore.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_eek.gif">(debuffing is really one of those things tha most people who are dps dumbly dont realize how much the help dps for EVERYONE....my 3 first CA's on named single mobs are allways debuffs + evade)Basically on most fights it would mean a total boost of dps JUST FROM POISON of 30% for rangers and 18-20% for assassins...add gleaming strikes for 800 ect ectBut boosting int to 420 is not an easy task without droping str and agi bellow where we need em (i say 300/300 should be the norm self buffed at 60 in offensive stance...thats why predators as a whole should push for str to be added to our offensive stance and it will be less of a priority than it is now</p>

Seeing your poison hit for over 800 initial and your weapon/spell procs hit for significantly more than base damage is very impressive. It's up to you to decide if you can avoid sacrifice too much STR to get the INT necessary and determine what kind of effect it has o your overall DPS.<div></div>

<div></div><p>My general rule is that I keep Str capped and when I go over Str cap I switch out gear for increased Int.....  doing this I usually have 450 Str and and Int fluxuates from 100 - 350 depending on the group....  Which reminds me, I need to get another Int doll =P</p><p> </p><p>Gwern - 60 Assassin - Kithicor</p>

<div>Int really doesn't make that big of a difference you wil lbe lucky to get it over 100 with out taking away from str, agi and sta which are more useful than the little damage increase you will get from int get stuff into str instead and you will see a bigger dps increase than you will with int.</div>

Here is the problem I see with all of this...Why does the front page indicate that our primary attribute should be AGI?<a href="http://everquest2.station.sony.com/en/main.vm#archetypesScout" target="_blank">http://everquest2.station.sony.com/en/main.vm#archetypesScout</a>I guess Im failing to realize why Sony would direct us one way while pushing us toward STR to get the play style we want.<div></div>

Because sony is [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] and has no qualms whatsoever about screwing over assassins?  Realistically though, the way they made stats work now, all the melee classes benefit from int/wis to a certain extent.  Poison users moreso than tanks, but still, if you manage to cap str on a tank you should start working on wisdom for resists, or agi if you're brawler. It all kinda depends, but its fairly apparent that almost nothing sony does is very well thought out in regards to balancing classes overall.<div></div>

<div></div><p>So I should really focus on capping my STR before I worry too much about increasing my INT.  A STR addition to the offensive stance would be most excellent. Currently I can barely get my STR above 250 self buffed, not as uber as some of you.</p><p>Raina</p>
