Here, I'll give you a topic: Ranger changes: - Stream of Arrows is no longer resisted as if it were a spell. Summoner changes: - The Call Servant spell should now correctly summon your pet. - Fighter pets should now use attack animations more often when they use combat arts. Swashbuckler changes: - Hail of Steel is no longer resisted as if it were a spell..... Discuss.Genetics has dictated that my Iksar have an "innie" .... but that doesn't keep him from having p3n15 envy regardless.

Those changes are good

Why should a mele CA have a magic resist to it???

BTW why does our Murderers Assault have a "spell type" dot associated with it? more int more dmg but we are mele, its a mele atack not a magic atack.......its dot dmg should have dmg bonus from STR not INT (same goes for all our DoT style CA's)

Message Edited by Skratttt on 12-13-2005 04:18 PM

Yeah cool deal but we still get our Deathly Blade, Assasinate, and Gorestrike blocked by green mobs that are tagged Bruiser/Monk awesome!

Now can someone tell me why combat arts that miss/getblocked, parried, dodged start their normal recast timer, while spells that get resisted are available after a short moment?

If I go and cast Ice Comet on my Wizard, and it gets resisted, it is available to cast again withing about 1s. Whereas if I get a resist on a CA with my Assassin, I have to wait for the timer to come all the way around again.

speaking of blocking and dodging our CA. Does anyone notice that our CA get blocked more often from the mob now? i was in poet 2 days in a row, most of the mob had my CA missed. It was not like that before im sure, and i am behind the mob as well! it's getting fustrated, consider my stealth attack + concealment (Gorestrike, DB, Garrote) when 1 of them miss my concealment is bascially wasted...

As far as mobs parrying/blocking from behind, any monk type mob is able to do that. That's basicly any mob in poets FYI

Yeah I love blowing my backstabs on mobs that just shrug me off and they are now down for FULL reuse time, and casters get a resist and seconds later are able to recast.

"That's basically any mob in Poets" eh?

Funny, the only mob I have troubles with as far as sticking CA's is the Creature of Beauty, and even then I can usually get 2 / 3 from my Scraping/Insidious/Oozing set to land so long as I'm behind. Hell, those 3 moves are the only DPS I have on the bit-cheeser.

Yes, I made up a stupid term to avoid Teh Nurf Bot.

-Hadanelith Raswrolski, Assassin of Legacy

PS:

Totally agree on the Resist > Refresh, Miss > Screwed arguement. Especially when Ice Comet is only 45 secs recast to begin with compared to our 15 mins. Oh, and you know what else is just dandy (and the only satisfaction I get out Wizards having that low recast)? Resisted spells generate a fair share of aggro, but missed CA's generate none >D Of course, if the Devs use that as an arguement for the full cycle of the timers... I got a broomstick here, and I'd be glad to show them which hole to shove it in.

Message Edited by Hadanelith on 12-20-2005 08:05 AM
