I am really excited about these changes, I can't wait to see them in action. The one I am excited about is the changes to cripple and makeshift weapon. (besides the obvious offensive stance BUG fixes), the reason for this being is that everyone was all up in arms about adding another positional attack yet it is a wash, instead we get a nice damage one and a good non positional medium attack. This was great thinking! This will add a lot more to our dps I believe, and I know everyone will be upset that Assassinate isn't every 20 seconds, but I can stand a 15 min timer if it isn't counting for 90% of our damage.<p>Message Edited by Roloc59 on <span class=date_text>11-03-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:41 PM</span><p>Message Edited by Roloc59 on <span class=date_text>11-03-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:51 PM</span>

"but I can stand a 15 min timer if it isn't counting for 90% of our damage"Agree, if we don't have to rely on it for our tier 1 DPS, yes 15 mins is cool for me too. Just need other skill to be up =)

<DIV>Assassinate is only about 1% of our averaged DPS, see one my my previous posts if you are confused.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Before everyone goes praising or flaming the current changes, we need to wait to see what gets pushed to the live servers. As soon as it does, I will do a fair bit of averaged parsing to post here for everyone. Its possible that these small changes that they have introduced may increase our DPS significantly. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Personally, they fixed the right skills... To all of you who wanted cast times reduced and damage tripled on our "big four" skills, you're all nuts. What they've done is essentially given us 5 more skills which might be worthwhile to use (Cripple, Garrote, Improvised weapon, and the two ae's).... If the skills are actually fixed, you'll find them to be useful in every fight, in addition to our other skills. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Like I said though, I'll get the numbers to post. Previous results showed rangers were about 66% more dps than us... I'm guessing with the nerf they got hit with, and these improvements, we're going to be more on equal footing (maybe).</DIV>

So, how exactly are we supposed to use 3 of those skills (garrote and the 2 AEs) and not lose DPS because other stealth skills are up but not being used. There was NO legitimate reason to add the positional requirement on cripple. The proc changes effect all dual wielding classes. Our root got nerfed. Things still arent peachy.

<DIV>The ae skills are usefull with concealment(lvl 55 skill)....but mainly i use them on groups of mobs on inc when doing xp groups like first atack (since i am pree stealthed)...if i waited till later first or second mob allready dead...now way less of a chance of loosing stealth and it not being worth the try</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Normally i see that SA(cause we want the most of that delicious dot on group), MoN, Massacre is nice (btw massacre hits for up to 1k on caster mobs...600-700 on mele mobs)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The dps potential of these 2 skills is worth it over PB, Gorestrike when u got 3+ mobs (specially with increased proc tendencys <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ..using the fabled t6 poison a nice 476 proc here and there dont hurt...ohh and add our fixed swipe +gleaming strikes ect....) ...other than that just use DD <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>
