Which would most people wear? Both are nice. The Imbued Ebon Chainmail of course has a little better stats but the Imbued Leather is not that far behind the Imbued Ebon. But when you look at prices. Ive seen on Antonia Bayle server teh Ebon going for 3+pp and the Imbued Leather goin for 60gold. Just tryin to figure out which one most Assassins Perfered. And if anyone has the Imbued Augmented Leather armor post some screen shots so i can get a good look at it.

imbued augmented for sure. use the extra plat you have to buy rubies and upgrade your spells. i personally feel that the increased dmg i've gotten from 'adept 3'ing' myself has helped me a hell of a lot more than a bit more mitigation from ebon. this is purely conjecture on my part and i've nothing concrete to back it up but since our job is certainly to do dmg more than it is to take it, i think it's the best choice.

Upgrade order priorities for me have generally been weapons, adepts, then armor. Figure autoattack counts for about 30% of your damage output, with a large number of CAs contributing the other 70%.

Also, the mitigation on augmented is better than fulginate, and they have some pretty nice stats, but on the whole, Im not a fan of rare armor for my scout. I've mainly gone for the ability to reach 200 agi/200 str self buffed with decent mitigation. Ive only got augmented gloves, then Ive got some drops from NekC, blackened ebon forearms, trannix crown/eboots or jboots/decent ac helm depending on the situation. I also carry around a shield, I think Ive used it twice.

If you are an avid soloer, you'll wanna rank armor before adepts, maybe even a tie with weapons. I noticed a HUUUGE upgrade in my mitigation by upgrading from the 11 AGI 4 STR tunic that drops in PF (forgot name...) to the ebon imbued chain.

Just my 2 cp

I went with the Imbued Augmented Leather. Theres really not much of a difference between it and Ebon. Tunic for example Ebon has 12agi and 9str and the Augmented has 9agi and 12str the other stats are basiclly the same on each except the mitigation. In which case the Leather is only 15 points less then the Ebon. But teh Leather makes up for teh 15 points by makin your avoidance go up.As for Weapons I have Bone Razor,SSoY,and SBD with an semi use of the PGT when soloin.

I would go ebon only if you raid, or have the money to use, ebon and leather are almost the same, mitigation is the only real big difference. Leather is nice if you are kinda short money, i use leather wrists, cuz they have more str then ebon, ebon legs and hands. I think the ebon legs and hands have the same stats as the leather, but i have the ebon for mitigation. Alittle more mit helps, cuz when you pull aggro, you want every little bit of health to keep you alive. Plus, i like the look of ebon.

When/If I pull agro on most raids... I'm going to die. That's just all there is to it. The only thing going through my head at that point is needing to 180 the mob back to the MT before all melee dps takes frontals causing a raid wipe. To tell you the truth, I'd be better for us to die in 1 hit on a raid. Less time the mob is facing melee the better if you ask me. Pre-Agi nerf, maybe.. but how it stands right now, no assassin should be tanking a raid mob because no amount of midigation is going to help you. This is all a matter of oppinion btw. My advise: Get ebon if you want to solo a lot.

Message Edited by ERROR on 07-08-2005 04:37 AM

I just checked out some of the augmented stats tonight. While strength and agility are similar the power, health, mitigation, and especially the resistances are heavily in favor of ebon.

This leads me to say that Augmented leather is NOT a substitute for ebon. Also a slight mitigation difference there is not. The AC difference along is 140AC, which essentially is 10pct or more of a difference. It's very much noticeable.

Aimor Velahr
