Curious as to how other assassins are doing in the solo splitpaw arena.  Not having alot of success myself. made it to the lvl eight and stopped to get a reward at that point. Havnt been able to take the champion. twice had him down to 25%.  I have lost to couple of the lower ones like number 6 if i dont get off a decent backstab. How are the rest of you doing? <div></div>

<DIV>prety much the same for me.. got to him the first time no problem but lost. Second time got about 6 or 7 mobs in and got my [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] handed to me.  Gave up after that.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>lvl 46 assassin.</DIV>

After about 6 attempts, I finally managed to squeak by a victory on him.  Kiting won't save you, as I noticed that if I ever moved out of melee range, he'd just start nuking me down.  Twice I managed to get him down to about 4% and then he'd heal himself back up to over 20%.  The last time, I thought I was doing great, had him at 15% while I was still up around 50%, then suddenly I was down to under 10% and he healed himself once again.  I made it, but it was very close.

3 wins out of 5 attempts on very difficult. Just get doped up on potions and good poisons, get some regen and you should do good.

<font color="#ffffff">Lvl 37 assassin. Got to the champion fairly easy, but he threw me out head frist and told me to never come back. I tried to kite him, but that didn't work well due to his spells. By the time I realized this he already had me by the neck and the belt, and I was face first out the entrance before I could say "backstab".... </font><div></div>

getting to the champion is no trouble but i've tried twice and neither time went too well. first time i opened well with a backstab / stun / strafe / stifle. then i melee'd and dotted , snared and started to kite him. things seem to be going well and i had him down to 50% with me at about 80%. then he hit me with some cold based spell that had a snare component and the fit hit the shan. his melee is as mean as his spells. i tried a bit more stun / strafe but i had poisons going on him at this point. i bailed. i checked the log from the fight and the only spells he used on me were cold / disease; the cold one being the biggest problem since it snared me. i changed gear around to load up on cold / disease resist grabbed some cold / disease dispell potions and tried again. once again no trouble to get to him but the fight went even worse.  i opened with codemning blade which hit weakly, stun / strafe / stifle - RESISTED. dotted and began my kite. didn't get snared this time and things seemed ok but then he used some divine nukes and a dot on me that ate me alive. i had no potion to dispell it so i tried to tough it out. ended up evacing with him at like 70%. i'm thinking a regen potion (if such a thing exists) even short duration would be huge. assuming i can dispell the snare and he doesn't resnare right away and survive while he uses his mana he won't be any tougher than the other two named gnolls in the earlier rounds. wishful thinking maybe but i'll be checking the vendor later. <div></div>

I assassinate, toe to toe him, until im about at like 30-40% HP, then kite the rest the way, kinda a small area, but still managable, out of the 5times i tried, ive killed him 3. I use my 2 ranged skills, slow, then use the skills 2 times each, then slow, with moor/ slow skill from Splitpaw, then 2 skills, then agi doll, repeat til hes dead.

I am having the same results guys.  I have gotten him to 15% and thats the best I can do.  I tried pretty much all of the stuff listed here, just don't have the gear I guess.  I like a good challenge so I am off to get better gear <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> -R 38 Assassin Unrest <div></div>
